Reggie Fils-Aimé says an Amazon Executive asked for something illegal of Nintendo, so they stopped working together for a time: “At that time, you know, just in the Americas, I was selling ten million DS’ a year, we’re driving a lot of revenue. We had a lot of scale. And, at the time, Amazon was looking to get bigger into the video game space. Amazon’s mentality back then is they wanted to have the lowest price out in the marketplace, even lower than Walmart. And one of their executives called me… well, it was a conversation that got to me after it had progressed through all of the levels of my sales organization, and essentially what Amazon wanted is an obscene amount of support, financial support, so they could have the lowest price and beat Walmart. I literally said to the executive, “You know that’s illegal, right? I can’t do that.” You know you get silence on the other end, ‘but this is what I want.’ Literally we stopped selling to Amazon, and it’s because I wasn’t going to do something illegal. I wasn’t going to do something that would put at risk the relationship we have with other retailers. But it also set the stage to say, look, you’re not going to push me around. ah yes 8 years ago today i barely remember releasing chapter 4, all i remember compiling a list of things to fix and immediately began implementing chapter 5 stuff, and dealing with the business. there was no rest. what’s funny is, im like 100x more busy these days. i guess im just experienced with managing it, heh. anyways, today was the day you all killed boris. how dare you.

Hey all! We promised we would be better about communication moving forward and we want to live up to that. We have decided that we are going to hold back PCVR a LITTLE bit longer. Instead of launching it and then doing a quick turnaround patch (our original plan), we are going to roll in the patch fixes and updates directly to the PCVR launch build. We are also going to incorporate fixes to some of the main issues we’re seeing in the current community playthroughs. Our goal is to launch a higher quality PCVR edition and then patch the PSVR 2 version so there is complete parity between the two platforms. We are working hard with our porting partners at Devoted Studios with the goal of getting the PCVR launch and PSVR 2 patch ready within the next 2 weeks! We know it's frustrating when it appears that we aren't communicating and that can come across as if we’re not paying attention. That cannot be farther from the truth. We take this community very seriously because the community is what makes everything we do worthwhile. While I wish we could always be perfect, we do always strive to do better!

Nintendo fue MUY OPTIMISTA al ponerle una pantalla de 120hz al Switch 2 sobre una OLED. Ni Fortnite, ni Overwatch ni ningún competitivo fuerte ha hecho funcionar sus juegos a 120fps. Hubiese sido mejor una pantalla a 60hz oled como en Switch 1.

@inkfycreates Nintendo is shooting themselves with the GameKey Cards and the game pricing. But yeah, otherwise, I agree with this statement.
It’s less of a “shot themselves in the head” and “shot one of their tires”.
They fix the issues (replace the tires) and they can get back on the road.

This is the correct version of the meme. I've said it before, but Nintendo isn't doing mass layoffs offs, investing in live service slop, and so on. They have the healthiest console market. Steam also works because they are privately owned and have their own vested interests.
