I’ve uploaded my footage from Artemis 2’s first rollout back in January. I have another scripted SLS video in the works but in the meantime- I will work to make a compilation of all my Artemis 1 footage (such as VAB B roll & rollout) into a video too. youtu.be/WfmmHj3Vg_4?si…

You will hate me but this is how I see things. I am not nostalgic about the shuttle . I am almost 70 years old and consider the shuttle era to have been a massive misguided period of lost opportunity. During the 1960's NASA built a moon rocket using the technology of the time. this required a great deal of innovation as it was all new, never done before stuff. After Apollo the decision was made to make a step into reuse with the space shuttle which was an amazing concept at the time. This is when everything went wrong. The shuttle failed to reach the required cadence, and was far more expensive to operate than a conventional expendable rocket. This is when the plug should have been pulled on the program. Instead the shuttle was persisted with for 30 years. During this time operational costs prevented resources from going into new developments. SRB's proved to be dangerous and unsuitable for reuse. the shuttle engines (at the end of the program) were built using antiquated production techniques instead of being almost fully 3D printed. At great expense the mobile launch platform technique for getting each system to the pad was still being used. Then some bright sparks decided to incorporate all these excessive operating costs into a new launch system, the SLS. The original idea was to save costs by reusing what had already been developed, but instead everything wrong with the shuttle was kept. A bit like trying to build a modern motorcar out of ford model-t parts. At the time of Apollo China's main agricultural machine was the oxen and the main means of transport the pushbike. Now the U.S. is in a race against China to get back to the moon. That is how much lost opportunity there has been. .

Comet C/2026 A1 (MAPS) is now brightening rapidly? The latest reported brightness estimates and measurements seem to indicate the comet is now between magnitudes 8.5 and 9.0. It is at this point unclear whether this is an outburst or if the comet has resumed 'regular' brightening. All bets are off.

This girl is still alive, and there is still time to act... help bring attention to her case so we can save her life I never ask for anything, but please RT and pray

This story is horrific. This girl with mental issues was taken from her parents and thrown in a state-run facility with MENA migrant minors. They then gang-raped her. It traumatised her and led to a suicide attempt which left her paraplegic. Today, Spain will euthanise her.

This month on March 25th 1996 great comet Hyakutake put on a tremendous show. Closest to Earth not far from Polaris & visible for much of the night. Coma approx 2 degrees wide and naked eye gas tail 80 to 100 degrees long, blue in colour. Discovered using 6" binoculars.

Facebookで50 and 30 yrs ago !
