Every prt of this speech made by Trump is nuts. his supposed $2 trillion deals with Qatar and the UAE as well are impossible. This is about five times bigger than their entire economies. According to Elon's own GROK Trump has settled exactly zero wars, not the eight he keeps claiming. This man is dangerously insane. youtu.be/iJ9gSId2DCE

I wonder how Trump (who recently lifted oil sanctions on Russia) will respond to the fact that Ukraine just managed to knock out 40% of Russia's oil export capacity with a massive drone strike on Russia's northern port. Ukraine had no option given that their whole strategy to prevent being overrun has been to make the war too costly for Russia. Increased oil prices combined with a lifting of sanctions let Russia off the hook.

The article appears to be bullshit to me. The reason I say that is because I have never heard of a link between the ice ages and CO2 levels previously. I have always understood that the ice ages are caused by two cycles, one related to a wobble in the earths axil tilt and the other a cyclical irregularity in the earth's orbit around the sun. Both have no relation to CO2 levels.

It is also important that private industry recognises the potential for profit from LEO. One such area is growing organs from stem cells. This is why I like dreamchaser. You do not want to subject fragile structures developed in microgravity to high G's during re-entry. what I am saying (excuse the deviation) is that private industry should not be investing solely to gain government handouts (grants).

in the middle east nations that were basically still in the middle ages in their beliefs however rapidly obtained wealth and technology. The system of beliefs and values did not evolve to keep up. re Christianity, in the middle ages it was normal to torture people to death in Christian nations. Sure, there is a major issue with Islam but we cannot deal with it till it is understood.

@Eric3Gribble @MAGAVoice Western tolerance is destroying the west, you know Islam is dangerous to any western nation simply because their loyalty will always be to their death cult religion. You vilify Christianity but Christians don’t openly state unbelievers should be enslaved or killed.

I do NOT totally disagree. There is a religious fundamentalism among groups which is dangerous. The big thing is to enable integration of immigrants, people become polarised if they do not mix. Islamic fundumentalism has always been a major concern worldwide re: terrorist attacks and the view that only those who worship their religion are worthy, a lack of tolerance towards all else. Regarding the current Trump administration, I have always believed in separation of politics and religion. You just about have extreme Christian fundamentalism in the current White House which will not reduce tensions between politicians and other religions.

@Eric3Gribble @MAGAVoice Somalia daycares without children, every protest of the latest leftist outrage America’s flag gets burned while they fly the flag of the country they left to come to America. Muslims aren’t assimilating they are trying to conquer. Birds of feather flock together.

Yes the reason CH4 was chosen was for Mars. However all lighter elements on the inner planets were delivered by asteroid impacts. We simply do not know what is in those permanently shaded lunar craters, perhaps there is sufficient CO2 (dry ice) for methane production. This was why it was ridiculous that VIPER was almost cancelled, it demonstrated how badly NASA was drifting without any goal.

@NASASpaceGhost The moon is the ultimate stepping stone and Starship is still designed as a Mars vehicle (otherwise you certainly wouldn't pick CH4 for the upper stage which can't be obtained on the moon), so will certainly be Mars.

To return Americans to the Moon, NASA is shifting to an iterative, execution-focused approach – just as we did during Apollo.  We are standardizing rocket architecture, embedding NASA expertise across industry, and increasing launch cadence to support sustained lunar operations.   We are sending a demand signal for crewed missions beyond Artemis V, with at least two providers capable of bringing astronauts to the surface every 6 months.  The goal is not just to reach the Moon, but to stay.  America will never give up the Moon again.

There should have never been a 53 year gap. The shuttle (designed in the 1970's) was a failure as it was costing more to get a unit mass to orbit than a fully expendable rocket. It was expensive to operate and had a lower than expected cadence yet was persisted with. It was using up all of NASA's budget leaving nothing for future development. This is the main reason for the huge gap.

The issue is that politicians and others have been ignoring progress made and are trying to go back with another 1960's rocket. Using old shuttle engines means that they are not designed to be manufactured using 3d technology. Using a 1960's crawler system instead of modern roll lift platforms to get to the launch pad is ridiculous. Also using a fully expendable rocket, hydrogen fuel proven to be difficult to work with, dangerous SRB's that cannot be recovered, etc, etc. the list goes on and on and is actually an epic failure.

@KipSupernova @NASAAdmin What will happen in the more distant future is that colonies will become self-governing and will not be answerable to Earth based governments.

@NASAAdmin The moon "belongs" to no one. Everyone should have the opportunity to explore this celestial body. I believe there should be a neutral organization with representatives from all nations to address issues related to space.

The issue is that there is no international agreement like the one with Antarctica. Antarctica is different as it is a fragile ecosystem which is why there is no mineral exploitation. The moon does not have life so should be exploited. This is where the potential problem can occur, how do you determine how close one base can be to another, what resources can be exploited by who. If international partners have invested in Artemis, are their rights to minerals equal to the portion of their investment? As you can see, an agreement of some sort needs to be worked out.

The big question is why the changes were not made years ago resulting in massive expenditure on hardware development that was not needed. I believe that the issue had more to do with politicians than NASAS. Everyone was saying for years that a) Starship would eventually replace SLS b) The EUS was ridiculously slow and expensive, likewise with the new launch platform, c) that the gateway placed additional unnecessary requirements on the landers d) the gateway served no purpose that could not be achieved with the ISS e) the low cadence was unsustainable f) that the focus should be 100% on the lunar surface g) that NASA appeared to not have any goal apart from landing the first person of colour and the first woman on the moon. This was all known years ago so why were so many resources wasted as a result of inaction?

Did you know that Donald Trump used the excuse "Australia bans our beef" when he imposed the 10% tariff on Australia? It was a lie, Australia has never banned U.S. beef and had a free trade agreement with the U.S. The U.S. also exports twice as much (all exports) to Australia than Australia exports to the U.S. (there is not much trade between the two nations, however that will change due to Australia's abundant rare earth minerals), there was one issue (still is) that Australia bans the use of hormones and other growth regulators heavily used in the U.S. The requirements on any imports were exactly the same as the requirements imposed on our own farmers. The reason little U.S. beef came to Australia is simply because it had to compete with local beef, difficult when Australia is a major beef exporter. If you do not like some of our health department requirements like banning growth regulator use, I will point out that the average human life expectancy in Australia is almost six years longer than in the U.S. Personally, as an Australian, I believe Australia should have a policy of no rare earths till the U.S. honours the free trade agreement they breached.

I agree except that there is not some conspiracy between world socialists. Many crazy policies like renewable energy and a universal condemnation of nuclear energy have been adopted but I think it is more like a leeming approach rather than an organised conspiracy (they are doing it so it must be the best way). Anyway for me the word socialist has no meaning. If you believe in a safety net for those unable to look after themselves you are a socialist, if you have a bank account you are a capitalist. Socialist, capitalist, right wing, left wing - all meaningless terms designed to confuse. The true debate should be between central planning and control versus handing power back to individuals and society (personal empowerment).

Yes I agree. Progressives are trying to establish a one world dictatorship that demands obedience to the world government not the people. Fortunately many people are beginning to resist and slowly one country at a time we are pushing the socialist policies back into Pandora's box hopefully (but probably not as the world never seems to remember past lessons long) never to be seen again

So you are saying that someone brought over to the U.S. at the age of two years old cannot have allegiance to America. I emigrated to Australia from New Zealand yet have allegiance to Australia (not the same thing because both nations are allied), however it is wrong to state that a person who has made the U.S. their home does not have allegiance. Many people have allegiance to principles e.g. democracy and human rights, rather than the more vague concept of patriotism. Blind patriotism is something dictators love.

It has become vital for Ukraine to inflict as much damage on Russian oil export terminals as possible. Their whole strategy for survival has been based on the concept of making the invasion unaffordable for Russia. now Trump's actions have raised oil prices and also sanctions are being lifted. Ukraine must impose its own sanction by destroying export ports. x.com/joni_askola/st…
