@AusUnchained @DavidBlackie9 @aaronsmith Do you even watch them? They are a joke! A heap of adults huffing and puffing. It's a circus. Maybe if they focused on actually making change and fixing shit up, Australia wouldn't be in this mess 🤔

Pauline Hanson went full Trump rather than answer one simple question about her daughter's tax-payer funded job. This 6 point chronological timeline shows exactly what Hanson was dodging: 1. Sean Bell lived in Queensland and, was Pauline Hanson's adviser for 9 years. 2. NSW One Nation Senator Warwick Stacey resigns after just 6 weeks. 3. Sean Bell is then parachuted into the vacant NSW seat by Hanson. 4. Pauline's daughter Lee Hanson is then hired as Bell's adviser, having never performed that role ever before, and on a salary up to $180k - all taxpayer-funded. 5. MPs can't employ their own family - so Lee, who lives in Tasmania is assumed to be technically employed by Sean Bell - a NSW Senator. Very convenient. 6. Despite being employed as an Advisor to a NSW senator, Lee still lives in Tasmania and spends much of her time campaigning for One Nation. Now you see why Hanson went 'full Trump' rather than answer.

@DavidBlackie9 @aaronsmith Pauline Hanson's 88% absence rate from Senate estimates hearings is a deliberate choice. She defends missing these hearings by calling them a "bureaucratic theatre" and states her time is better spent speaking with voters rather than listening to bureaucrats dodge her questions!

Bowen has decided that he is above scrutiny... That he won't take questions that he doesn't like. Power bills continue to rise, and questions must be answered. The public have a right to know. Democracy dies in secret.

Assuming that they all ran candidates in my electorate, if an election were held next Saturday my vote would be: 1. Libertarians 2. One Nation 3. Nationals 4. Liberal 5. Labor 6. Greens That's the highest I've ever placed One Nation. One Nation would slip if they came out in favour of social media age limits and ID. Libertarians would slip if they push unrestricted immigration and firearms ownership.

@3AWNeilMitchell Just do what sky lies does and put opinion at the bottom of the screen. Was she at the event as an ABC employee or in a private capacity?

I don’t agree with Laura Tingle that Australia is essentially racist. But this debate highlights the absurdity of the ABC approach. You employ commentators then complain when they state an opinion.

“Nothing can be more un-Australian than the need to prove one’s identity on the call of an official, be it a policeman or a bureaucrat… I refuse to be numbered and branded.” Labor Party MP, Lewis Kent, speaking in the House of Reps about the proposed Australia Card, 1986.

@newyviewy @vmainard @DavidPocock She's 50, a large number of women over 55 are on Jobseeker. 41% of people on Jobseeker are disabled. Sickness Allowance was scrapped by the LNP, instead of being put onto the DSP, they left them on Jobseeker to save money.

🇦🇺s don’t want social security that leaves people in poverty. Despite expert advice Jobseeker should be ⬆️, Govt chose not to. We also need tax reform if we are going to start to fix our housing system. Major parties still refuse to engage on this 🤦‍♂️ abc.net.au/news/2024-05-2…

If people want more money they can get a job. Jobseeker is a payment to help you get a job. Not a lifestyle support payment. Major parties are right not engage on this. We don't want to encourage dole bludgers to stay on welfare. When they should be out working and paying taxes.

Two years ago Anthony Albanese was elected PM with a record low primary vote. Since being elected we have seen lots of broken promises, everything costs a lot more, the unions have been given more power and money, oh and the boats have started again. Angry reacts only. 😡

@AusGovSlave @ellymelly Wrong. The structural integrity of the solar panel weighs a significant amount. This requires substantial ground work and concrete to secure, lots of concrete. Solar is inefficient and bad for the environment.

@simonahac The only blackouts I ever here about is transmission lines falling over but the coalition doesn't want new transmission lines.

🤓 you'll probably hear scary claims today about "blackouts" in NSW, due to a "reliability gap". …caused by delays with SA-NSW transmission line, a few batteries & mothballed generators. to meet the 99.998% reliability standard, NSW needs to build more kit. not a big deal. 🧵

@AusGovSlave @ellymelly The environmental impact due to the construction of the solar panels out weighs the benefits. The destruction of land to secure these to the ground destroys all animal life that lives in and around the ground used. Solar and wind are bad for the environment.
