We are back in the Sea of Abaco assessing the current status of the dolphin population impacted by hurricane Dorian. We encountered 15 individual animals. There were three mother-calf pairs and eight of the dolphins are in our catalogue, one first documented here in 1992!

Nice encounter yesterday. Conducting research of beaked whales for our Vital Rates project addressing reproductive success and other vital life functions. This work includes using any skin samples collected for an epigenetics study to compare biological to chronological age.

Great encounter with Blainville's beaked whales in south Abaco on Friday collecting more data for our 'Vital Rates' project to assess individual body condition and document pregnancies.

We have collected some more data for our 'Nutritional Stress' project in Andros working with our colleague, @leighhickmott, credit for some of the photos. We also found some more dolphins in Fresh Creek, and in non-boating weather have enjoyed the natural beauty of the island
