I’ve been quiet on this account. I wasn’t sure what to do with it and am still not. For now, I just want to say thank you to everyone who reached out and supported me during the campaign and after. It was the best experience. I am so grateful for this city and it’s people.

We are closing early tonight (Friday) at 6:30pm and staying closed over the weekend until Wednesday Feb 9th🤞. One of our staff was physically assaulted on their way to work today, blocked on the sidewalk by two men and shoved to the ground for wearing a mask.

I absolutely love when we welcome someone to citizenship!! I have a friend who is just waiting for the oath and I am so excited for him when it happens. This is the Canada we love!

I took my citizenship Oath and officially became a Canadian citizen today. The people I met and worked with since arriving here as a Syrian refugee in 2017 have been overwhelmingly generous and kind. I’m truly honoured to be a citizen of this great country.
