Bitbiashara Nextgen space

In August 2025, during the school holidays, a 16‑year‑old boy lost his life at the hands of his own peers, boys who should have been his friends. Kids who were idle, unattended, and pulled into drugs and gangs because no one was guiding them. This is our community problem!

Not every child in the community may be in the room… but the 5, 10, 15 who are here carry something powerful — the knowledge of choice. Choice in value. Choice in ownership. Choice in the future they build. This is what Bitbiashara NextGen is about. 🌱⚡️

Day 7 NextGen in session We speak their language. Using stories.. then the shift begins. From simple stories to real money conversations with Bitcoin at the center. You can see it happen their eyes widen, curiosity kicks in, questions start flowing. It clicks? This is why!

Our WCW today shines the spotlight on Susan and Mercy, contributing to real Bitcoin projects used around the world. @Su_Githaiga has been shipping thoughtful improvements across major open source projects—from enhancing UX on the Bitcoin Dev Project to improving consistency and functionality on the @BtcpayServer Plugin Builder. @junearsenic7 journey has taken her deeper into Bitcoin infrastructure. She contributed to the Bitcoin Core Fee Rate project and is actively participating in Bitcoin Core PR reviews as she continues to grow within the codebase. These are the contributions that make open source thrive—thoughtful, consistent, and community-driven. PAYING IT FORWARD Now serving as Peer Leads for Dada Devs Cohort 4, Susan and Mercy are mentoring the next generation and strengthening the ecosystem through leadership and shared knowledge. Day 6 NextGen in session It’s starting to click now. The questions are sharper. The answers are coming from them. From learning… to understanding… Through play, conversation, and Bitcoin they’re gaining confidence with money. Not just how to use it but how to think about it.

We asked the kids what they learned last week..… and wow. 💛 “Bitcoin helps you recieve and send money faster.” “It removes control from other people over your money.” This is what their future looks like....future with information on choices available.

Bitbiashara NextGen space is back in session! Last holiday, we went all out with outdoor activities. This time? Short and focused. 3 weeks. Daily: 1 hour of activity 1 hour of #Bitcoin learning ⚡ Simple. Intentional. Consistent. We’re building the next generation.

At @thecore21m Unconference 03, this merchant wasn't accepting BTC, but they were willing to learn. And when we showed how easy it is to use Tando for their first bitcoin-for-coffee sale, they fully embraced bitcoin payments on the spot. As a result they closed 6 more bitcoin sales that day! Only cost us a little time and 11,000 sats, and we walked away with some Wisdom Coffee, they walked away with bitcoin wisdom. A little patience and listening (not lecturing) to their concerns and then providing solutions goes a long way to greater bitcoin adoption!
