They are NOT ours to ABUSE!! Behind the scenes there is horrific abuse. Just look at the bullhook they use to control the Elephants. It might seem fun for people, but for the Elephants it's a life of pain and fear. Please don't support this. Tourists, #DontBuyATicket 🎟️ ~ if you do YOU are COMPLICIT to the abuse of the Elephants!! 🎦 Credit: Wildlife Guardians.

When it involves animals, it’s never just a meal 💔   Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches mean calves being ripped from their mothers, hens packed into sheds, and pigs living in pure filth. No breakfast is worth this.

Perhaps you prefer your coffee with no milk, or a tea with sugar? Even elephants have their preferences on how they take their beverages – and Serenget is no different. Whereas other elephants prefer to have a milk bottle placed into their mouths, she prefers to have it poured drop by drop into her trunk. She's in good company – Namalok preferred to drink from a bucket, and he's successfully rejoined the wild. No matter their idiosyncrasies, we'll do all we can to meet the orphans where they are. Learn more about Serenget, who has overcome a bullet wound and months of bed rest: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/sereng…

An elephant-sized pacifier for one of our tiniest babies! Much like human infants, baby elephants derive great comfort from suckling. The orphans love to mouth their Keepers’ fingers and when the Keepers have their hands full, a bottle teat serves as an excellent stand-in. This is heartbreaking and unacceptable. At the Endangered Ark Foundation, elephants are being beaten and forced into painful positions just so tourists can take “Elephie Selfies.” You can hear the elephant screaming in distress, yet the abuse continues in plain sight. These gentle giants deserve better than to be treated as props for entertainment. Please share this and support ethical sanctuaries that protect elephants instead of exploiting them. #EndElephantAbuse #ElephantProtection #AnimalCruelty

This is happening in plain sight Elephants are being hit and hurt right in front of visitors at the Endangered Ark Foundation in Oklahoma. 😡 This so-called ‘sanctuary’ allows guests to have a ‘unique and unforgettable opportunity’ to look an Elephant in the eye and take a very special photo - an "Elephie Selfie"! #DontBuyATicket 🎟️ 🚫! 🎦 Credit: @peta.

@Axaxia88 The survival of the herd is above the survival of the individual. Eventually she has to move on.

I’m surprised that its mother and the herd left it—elephants are very close-knit, especially when it comes to their young. I truly hope the baby can find its herd before a pride of lions or hyenas finds it; the little one is so vulnerable. Thank you for saving her 💖

Punch brings many of us smiles and moments of lightness, and I understand why. His little face, his playful energy, the way he clings to his plushie — it touches something soft in us. But I also want to remember the whole truth. Punch is a baby who was taken from his mother far too early. He was raised with a toy instead of the warmth and teaching only a mother can give. Every cute clip we watch is built on the stress and trauma of a tiny being who never got to live the life he was born for. So when I smile at Punch, I also carry a quiet ache. I smile with gratitude for the people who care for him now, and with sadness for everything he lost before he ever had a chance. May we never forget that behind the daily joy we receive from him, there is a small soul who deserves freedom, family, and the chance to simply be an orangutan — not our source of comfort. Let’s hold both: the smile and the sorrow. That feels like the most honest way to love him. ❤️

I truly can’t understand how anyone could be so cruel to such a beautiful and adorable dog. The ending really touched my heart – the little one is just so cute and lovely 💖✨

A 51-year-old man has died in Málaga after an incident involving a bull during preparations for the traditional “Picassian Race” held on Holy Saturday. The victim, identified as Ricardo Ortiz, was a former matador and the son of renowned bullfighting figure Manolo Ortiz. He had long been involved in the organization and management of bulls for such events. According to reports, Ortiz was surrounded by a bull while preparations were underway, leading to the fatal incident. The “Picassian Race,” inspired by the legacy of Pablo Picasso, is a traditional spectacle tied to Holy Week celebrations in Málaga, drawing participants and spectators each year. #DontBuyATicket 🎟️ 🚫! #BanBullBullFighting NOW!

We are endlessly grateful to every one of our supporters who help us provide the first-class care orphaned elephants need to survive, thrive, and ultimately return to their rightful home in the wild. Are you one of our adopters? Like Thamana, we’re being nosy – who do you adopt?
