This is freaking hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣 Woman: Oh my god. Are you okay? Man: Yeah, I'm okay. Woman: What happened? Man: I was running on the trail and I stepped in some dog shit. And I sat down to try to clean it off my shoe and this guy come running by and he stepped in it. I laughed at him and said I just did that. He come over and fucking punched me in the face like three times and called me a nasty son of a bitch. 🤣🤣🤣 Woman: oh my god, I’m so sorry.

@Sabiha1278 "Sir, you will pay full freight or your kid gets to meet Officer Friendly and experience Family Court for criminal mischief" Like I did when I was a kid because my dad refused to play ball when I vandalized a roof of a meeting house

I am literally shaking. Some teenager threw a rock off an overpass and did this to my truck. I caught him, and his dad had the nerve to say, "He’s just a kid being a kid, I’ll give you $50 for the 'inconvenience'." $50?? This is a specialized windshield with sensors! He told me I was "ruining a child’s future" by calling the police. I feel like he’s raising a criminal and expects me to pay for it. Do I press full charges?

That's always been why so many were anti-remote work though. 1. A lot more people than you think are dependent on work for socialization - very Michael Scott like. 2. A lot of others dislike their spouses and kids and want an excuse to leave every day. 3. Another group are micromanagers/people with poor management skills, and/or people whose jobs really don't need to exist if people prove able to work independently and they know it. 4. A small group loses money on commercial real estate if remote work is successful. And those groups of people are trying to hold everyone else hostage in offices.
rohit@krishnanrohit

The more I read arguments against remote work the less I find them credible. This starts with "remote work hurts mental health" then goes to say it's about those without friends/family with whom they interact. Work isn't meant to be adult daycare, just let people choose.

@rdd147 I think there is going to be a bubble popping, but LLMs are stupidly useful in everyday office work plus a ton of other stuff. Once the dust settles the cream will rise to the top, just like in 2000

We’re 4 years into what will soon be the largest default crisis in history, and not a single company outside of semiconductors has benefited from Ai. The data centers and hyperscalers are hemorrhaging cash and drowning in debt. The LLM are illiquid with no sustainable path forward due to having to subsidize all of Ai to the point profitability is mathematically unachievable. The end user has never proven a productivity gain above the cost of labor in an even still subsidized usage based model. Trillions into the worst financial crisis in American history. No return.

@DisgracedProp They violated the rules, flaunted them actually. The rules they agreed to follow. Then their parents lied about it after getting found out. Lots of character flaws in this story.

Insane thing happened in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Winning lacrosse team seniors photographed smoking cigars while celebrating their graduation. Forced to FORFEIT their entire season just before big playoff game for "violating state athletic association rules against tobacco use." Parents/students try to claim that the cigars were fake, but a thorough investigation is conducted and a damning receipt from Shaw's grocery store is found (despite parents' attempt to smudge out the date on the receipt). You live in a prison and you don't even know it.

Whether or not this Iran deal and MOU is “part of the plan,” won’t make up for the possibility that it may be a gross miscalculation from many other angles. The UAE is upset about the rhetoric from our VP and how it looks like we are abandoning our ally and friend, and they have a point. Other nations notice weak foreign policy and formulate future moves based off of that new information. 5D chess doesn’t really matter if you lose the confidence of the remaining allies we have in the Middle East. Trump has some work to do. Pulling Vance from continued talks with Iran was the first good move he’s done since this all broke. And to think, all of this is stemming from propaganda made for illiterate peasants that has now effectively shaped aspects of US foreign policy… Wild times.
Amjad Taha أمجد طه@amjadt25

To Trump: In the Middle East, loyalty is currency. If you abandon your closest friend halfway through a fight and cut deals behind their back while leaving them exposed, don't expect anyone to trust your guarantees again. You told the world, "The U.S. and Israel carried out an operation against Iran," then walked away and left your ally standing alone. In the Middle East, we don't judge friends by speeches; we judge them by who stays when the missiles fly. A person who abandons an ally halfway and cuts deals behind their back is not someone you call in a crisis. You will say it's about American interests. Fine. But others also have interests, and they have memories. You can call it "America's interests." We call it something else: leaving your friends in the storm. Before asking, "Why don't they defend themselves?" remember that countries like Israel did and are still doing so alone. And also remember that the UAE defended itself, struck back forcefully, and banned the Muslim Brotherhood. Many of your countries in the West did neither. The lesson is simple. If you can leave your closest friend exposed today, why should anyone trust your promises tomorrow? Maybe it's time for the Middle East to start thinking about alternatives. And yes, when Iran strikes again, don't assume the Middle East will dial Washington. People don't call someone who might leak information to Turkey or cut a deal with Tehran while their friends are still under fire.

Fck him and fck all Russians that support Putin. He wore a Russian flag at a Stanley Cup party, a total slap in the face to Ukrainians. He should be banned from the NHL and all other Russians too, just like they do in other sports. Fck him, go play for your buddy Putin in Moscow.

@williameijer @cloneristic well, duh. When women are chattel they are forced to do nothing but crank out child after child their entire adult life, and we have to deal with the resulting poverty and instability. What we need to do is incentivize our women to have 3 kids and suppress the 3rd world excesses
