For one hour today, we switch off the lights…but more importantly, we switch on awareness. Earth Hour is a reminder that protecting our planet starts with small, intentional actions; taken consistently. The future we want is not something we wait for. It’s something we build. Let’s choose sustainability. Let’s choose responsibility. Let’s choose Earth. 🌍 #EarthHour #SustainableFuture #ClimateAction #GoGreen #ActNow #DoingForTomorrowToday

MTN Uganda Stands with the Planet for Earth Hour 2026! This Saturday, 28th March, MTN Uganda is proud to join millions around the world in switching off non-essential lights for one hour because every action counts. But we didn’t stop at switching off lights. This year, we took our commitment a step further by partnering with WWF Uganda to plant and grow a sustainable woodlot on 5 hectares of land at St. Joseph Vocational Training Institute, TECO Munteme, Kikuube District a living legacy for the communities and ecosystems that sustain us all. At MTN Uganda, we believe that a connected future must also be a green future. Our participation in Earth Hour reflects our dedication to environmental sustainability, responsible business, and the well-being of the communities we serve across Uganda. Tonight, we dim our lights…so tomorrow, Uganda can shine brighter. Join us. Switch off your lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM and be part of the movement. #EarthHour2026 #GreenFuture #TogetherForOurPlanet

In Nyenje, Mukono. Every morning, women show up…to bake, to sell, to try again. Through smoke, breakdowns, and long days, they keep going. Not because it’s easy. But because they believe it can be better. This is the spirit of #MTNChangeMakers, starting with what you have and refusing to stop. And this is where change begins. #DoingForTomorrowToday

Nyenje Voice Saving Association was founded in 2020 with just 20 women, this group has grown to 100 members dedicated to self-reliance. They aren't just saving; they are building futures through skills training and asset financing. #DoingForTomorrowToday #TogetherWeAreUnstoppable

Today, I had the privilege of touring the @KiiraMotors Corporation vehicle plant in Jinja, guided by its founding CEO @PIMusasizi. Together with my team, we witnessed firsthand how Uganda is taking a leading role in advancing electric mobility and digital innovation across Africa. Walking through the facility and seeing the level of engineering excellence behind the buses being was truly inspiring, and a powerful reminder of the immense potential ahead. #FromThePearlToTheCape #TogetherWeAreUnstoppable

From enabling the Technology that powers these innovations to partnering on the historic 13,000km electric bus journey that happened in Nov 2025 from Uganda to Cape Town and back, we remain committed to connecting progress across borders, sustainably. Congratulations to the entire team for your vision, dedication, and outstanding execution. Africa’s future is bright, bold, and very much in motion. #FromThePearlToTheCape #TogetherWeAreUnstoppable

Our CEO, @sylmulinge, applauded the Chairperson, Peace Barry, for her resilience. From selling sambusas to pay school fees to now uplifting a whole community, her story is a reminder that where you start doesn’t define where you can go. This is what #MTNChangeMakers stands for

Today feels a bit special. 25 community projects across Uganda are getting a share of Shs 500 million to grow ideas that are already changing lives from health and education to economic empowerment and clean water. That’s real impact. Knowing over 1,800 people applied makes this even more inspiring. It shows how many are committed to building better communities. Personally, I’m encouraged seeing leaders like Allen Kagina supporting such initiatives. It’s a reminder that with the right backing, local ideas can go so much further. Looking forward to seeing how these projects transform lives and who benefits next. #MTNChangeMakers #DoingForTomorrowToday .

As @Allen_Kagina, Trustee at @mtnfoundationug shared, change isn’t for those waiting, it’s for those creating it. And through #MTNChangeMakers, we’re seeing it happen. Communities stepping up, solving real problems, and shaping their future. Now, we go further…reaching more people and transforming more lives. #DoingForTomorrowToday

At the Adventist Women for Influence Center, over 60 students enrolled, but numbers dropped because there weren’t enough machines. Today, that changes. Through our @mtnfoundationug & KAD Initiative #MTNChangeMakers, women are gaining skills, confidence, and a second chance.
