If you go to a church regularly, then you are of a specific denomination. By the way, your own bible is a tradition made by the catholic church.

I’m an irreligious Christian, as religion is an unnecessary component that tends to prioritize finite traditions than Jesus.

If catholics do worship mary as u claim, then who are the Collyridians?

Denominationalism blinds people and puts them at odds with others over meaningless arguments. People let denominations think for them. I don’t.

There isnt anything difficult saying “our lord jesus christ” but there isnt anything wrong with giving honorary titles to others either

What’s so difficult about saying “Our God” or “Our Lord Jesus Christ”. You literally doubled down by your wording.

It’s not a matter of lacking trust in Jesus, but utilizing scripture on how to use prayer effectively.

@iamlabyrinth_ @CDLDno @oliverburdick Totally unnecessary according to Scripture. We have direct access to Living Water, Jesus Christ, the One who hears all prayers but even that is not good enough apparently, Mary is also needed in Catholics view. This is unscriptural. There is only one mediator.

Our lady is an honorary title.. you’re assuming the presence of an image automatically means the image is being worshipped.

@CDLDno @NewNormalTube @oliverburdick I’m attesting to empirical scenarios I’ve visually observed of people praying to effigies of Mary and revering her as “divine” or “Our Lady”. If them praying to an effigy of Mary isn’t vigorously, corroborative proof of idolatry, then why do they do it?

I’m not drawing invalid conclusions, but judging it based on a myriad of accounts of videos & photos showcasing Catholics praying to effigies of Mary. How is this biblical?

@CDLDno @NewNormalTube @oliverburdick I read Revelation 8:5 but don’t understand the correlation with intercession in Catholic/Orthodox theological frameworks. By this example you set, if Jesus gave us the privilege to ask for people in heaven for prayer, then why revere or trust Jesus?

Howbeit, we are talking about finite, deceased, mortal humans being relied on to pray for eternal salvation. They do not hear our prayers. By praying to them, it would render Jesus’s crucifix pointless.

You are the only one drawing these invalid reasons as to why we ask Mary or whoever’s up there to intercede… You are aware that we do the sign of the cross before and after?
