Student activists are tactical. They thought they could influence the Biden Administration because he was a Democrat and they were his own voters. That failed. I think many concluded you had to change the party first and energy has been channeled into defeating pro Israel Dems.

Here’s why Social Contract theory is stupid 👇 1. Anarchists explicitly ask not to be governed, and past consent cannot bind future generations who never signed or accepted any such agreement. (someone planting a tree for posterity does not thereby force future generations to eat its fruit.) 2. What is often called implied consent like voting, or paying taxes, is not real consent because these actions occur choosing least harm or coercion rather than free choice. 3. People cannot meaningfully agree to unknown future laws they neither understand nor have the ability to reject. 4. Being such an important contract it lacks even the most basic features of some basic cobtracts such as identifiable consenting parties, signatures, and voluntary acceptance by those it governs. 5. Majority rule does not equal consent either, since those who disagree are still coerced into compliance. 6. Most importantly, since in a free market individuals could obtain the services typically provided by government from competing private providers, but are prevented from doing so by the state’s enforced monopoly backed by force, this arrangement cannot be described as a necessary contract.
