@Marcus_Mosher Don’t think this is always true. In 18’ when the browns had 1st overall there was a ton of speculation on which QB it would be.
This draft just only happens to have one QB worth that spot.

12 + 20 for 6 +39 is not gonna get it done in a potential trade with the Cowboys. Browns want more bites at the apple. Not the same amount.
Hard sell to move down 6 spots up top for 19 spots later on when GMs regularly say they have similar value tiered from picks 20-40.

I would say there are two timelines if they trade Garrett:
Trading Garrett Pre June 1st
Ward is restructured & kept
Trading Garrett Post June 1st
They can trade Ward too
No post June 1st trade designations, you have to wait until June 2nd to do the deal

Legit question. What does keeping him for a 3rd year accomplish? Does a Sweet 16 in 2027 make you wanna him for a 4th year? Unless you think he’s gonna have an elite team that’s gonna be in contention for a 1-2 Seed you’re just kicking the can down the road.
