Young people in their twenties are _supposed_ to be poor, the same way the rest of us were. Hard work in their twenties is supposed to make them less insecure in their early thirties, and then more comfortable in their late thirties. That's when the expensive vacations start. So yes: save the vacations until you earn them--the same as we all did.

The banks got bailed out in 2008. The auto industry got bailed out in 2009. The airlines got bailed out in 2020. The corporations got PPP loans forgiven in 2020. Every time the system fails the powerful the government writes a check. Every time the system fails you they say pull yourself up. Socialism for the rich. Personal responsibility for everyone else.
