It’s amazing how your body will feel after losing the extra weight. It only makes sense. Your frame will tell you when you are over weight. I developed planter fasciitis in my 20s. It got so severe, I thought I would have to get a desk job. Back pain accompanied that. Lose 65lb and it all went away. No back pain and I can actually walk around bare footed. It changed my life.

I weighed 197 pounds in October. I went to the doctor today and couldn’t believe I was 180. I’ve been in the mid-190s for over a decade. I’ll be in the 170s soon. Haven’t seen that since my 20s. I’m starting to look more muscular, not just losing weight. When I started last summer, my only goal was to not be in pain anymore. I actually ended up in the ER after trying to exercise. There were moments I didn’t know if I was making things better or worse. For the past year, I’ve faced the degenerative disc pain I’ve dealt with for more than a decade head on, not knowing if there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The last couple months… my lower back has felt better than it has in years. I keep things simple (honestly, it’s way easier to eat healthy than not): - Eggs every morning, usually 3 eggs and 3 egg whites, sometimes with avocado - Nonfat Greek yogurt with fruit, a little honey, and some walnuts at night - Protein shakes only after workouts or when I can’t get real food in - Meals built around chicken, steak, or fish, with vegetables and carbs like potatoes, sweet potatoes, or rice - Creatine once daily No alcohol. No tobacco. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to start walking and keep walking to get there.
