FIP.16 is being activated across both the execution and protocol-reward layers. Today’s fork raises the C-chain base fee floor to 500 gwei, expands maximum validator stake to 300M FLR, and introduces a 20% minimum validator delegation fee. Reward epoch 417 then activates the new vote-power and reward calculations, with P-chain stake weighted 5× relative to C-chain delegation. FTSO and FDC providers must upgrade to Flare Systems Deployment v1.5.4 and refresh their configuration before July 20 at 05:00 UTC.

Every transaction now burns more flare-networks:native, and validator capacity rises to 300M FLR. What's next: ☀️ FDC request fees begin flowing to FIRE: 90% direct, 10% distributed alongside inflation. ☀️Vote power recalculates, with P-chain stake weighted 5× delegation. Stake placed now is already counted when the new calculation goes live.

Steps - every action, every increase, every activity fuels the whole process. The system is aligned and the development is set in the correct direction. But the FAssets minting fee is just a small part (unlocked at the very beginning) - FCE, MEV, they will all fuel the FIRE.

FIRE value capture is starting to show up. Right now it’s early value accrual. Next, more flows will come from Flare Smart Accounts, FDC, and other protocol activity. That’s the model: Real usage → Protocol revenue → FIRE
