@janecoaston I was a collegiate sprinter a long time ago, and ran the 800 one time. Did it in 2:12. That man held my (peak shape of my life) 800 pace for *26 miles*.

most people cannot run a ten minute mile. if you can, it would take you about four and a half hours to run a marathon. that is an AMAZING athletic feat.

JANE HEDENGREN JUST BROKE PARKER VALBY’S NCAA 10K RECORD!!!! 30:46 FOR THE BYU ROOKIE!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 In an epic battle with New Mexico's Pamela Kosgei, it was BYU freshman Jane Hedengren who ripped off a big-time last lap to run 30:46 and BREAK the NCAA 10k record of 30:50 formerly held by Florida's Parker Valby! Kosgei's time of 30:49.99 also broke the former NCAA record and puts her at NCAA #2 all-time in the event. Eastern Kentucky's Edna Chelulei ran 31:33 (10k) for 3rd place while North Dakota's Jaydn Keeler clocked a time of 31:56 (10k) for 4th place.
