@LuigiCPA @SelenaC10705 I drive daily. Most days taking the Lower Great Highway. Would bike the Great Highway 4 days a week for about an hour at lunchtime from 2020 until 2024, not counting longer weekend rides or afternoons when I could sneak out.

@LuigiCPA @SelenaC10705 You didn’t ride there consistently then. The sand would fill back in within a day of cleanup and they clean 2-3 days per week on average. I didn’t classify all commuters as angry. I was saying that it was extra sketchy during the heavy commute hours. I commute SF-PA everyday.

@DTMellinger @SelenaC10705 When the city removed the sand from the GH, they also did it for the shoulder too. It was safe and usable. the fact you profile all commuters as angry documents your anti-car bias. I drive and bike. We need to coexist!!!

@LuigiCPA @SelenaC10705 What? The shoulder is almost always covered in sand out to the road right before and after nearly every intersection. Forcing bikes to enter into the road with cars constantly. Was super sketchy. Especially with angry commuters.

@SelenaC10705 I used to bike on the Great Highway when there were cars. The shoulder was wide and made biking safe. With bicyclists now biking the wrong way, there's too much potential for a head-on collision. So, ironically without cars now, I no longer bike on the GH..

Part of this comes from not knowing how to dress (reasonable, as not everyone is taught). Part of it is the prevalence of low rise pants and not knowing which shirts can be worn tucked or untucked. 🧵

@j_inthe405 Such people can get custom shirts made. If they are in a major city, look for a bespoke tailor such as CEGO in NYC. Ascot Chang, a Hong Kong operation, travels through the US twice a year. Alternatively, @ProperCloth offers online made-to-measure. Quite good, esp for the price.

It was a wild 15 months health-wise. While I measure over 150 markers in the CHL, I cherry-picked a few of the metrics below that were bad for me. The RYG is stricter than the CHS averages, but I still have more work to do. Next analysis on strength. Questions for me?
