When Box Squatting, an Athlete should use the Box as a means of breaking up the eccentric and concentric. This is leveraging the static/dynamic contrast method to create both absolute strength and RFD. If the Box Squat is absent of a stop, it will not lead to the same result.

S&C is not meant to develop sport skill… It’s meant to develop a wider base of skill potential. Simply, a faster athlete has the potential to run a better route. A stronger athlete has the potential to block better. S&C should be focused on improving force capabilities🙌🏻💪🏻

Your Slow Athlete doesn’t need Mobility and Ladder drills… They need Heavy Squats, Deadlifts, Loaded/Unloaded Jumps, and Timed Sprinting. You won’t see it advertised because it doesn’t sell well. Most people want to be fast without doing the hard work required🤫🙌🏻

I'm always shocked when people don't understand that Louie Simmons valued fitness and conditioning more than almost anything. He just wanted the conditioning to be specific to the actual performance of the sport. Hence the legendary work capacity of his athletes.
