Taught my son “stand at attention,” and it’s the greatest parenting hack I’ve ever learned. Boys LOVE being soldiers. You can yell at them, try to reason with them, cajole them, and nothing works. But you say “at-attention! About-face! March!” And they snap right to it.

Everything low and contemptible about the modern minor intellectual is packed into this one tweet: the pseudo-cleverness in bad faith (why use the whole earth as the denominator? Solely to diminish the target); the misleading obsessions (yes, the Bonapartes were minor Corsican/Italian nobility, but also quite poor relative to French elites); and, most of all, the bitter resentment of anyone or anything greater than the intellectual himself.

The worst thing a pitch to professional investors can be is confusing. Professional investors are willing to give early stage startups the benefit of the doubt. They're ok with risk. But they can't invest in a startup whose pitch they can't even follow.

Take a full backswing, trust yourself. Relaxed and controlled. Release the hands earlier than you think Swing with your back hip! Tilt chin slightly up. It gives you more space than if tucked. Chin up slightly through backswing AND downswing Look at the target. Your attention should be on the target, not on the ball. Pinch the scaps on the take away to activate whole spine. SHAPE SHOTS. Grip in the finger tips. Heel first on irons, toe first on wedges. Strengthen grip a little but keep it in the finger tips on driver. Shorten follow through. Stay aggressive but don’t make the finish so long Be an athlete. Don’t think!
