@rickygervais I guess Keir Starmer complained because some arseholes let everyone in.

@GBNEWS @Alexarmstrong Notice the generation difference. Gen X bloke probably learnt the Roger Bannister record at school, and estimated from that point. Apart from the running enthusiast the rest didn't have a clue.

🏃 We asked GB News staff to guess the fastest men's mile record...
@AlexArmstrong's answer was something else...

@DefiantLs It'll be white man's fault if the mission fails though.

@_HenryBolton He'll cream his pants on live TV when a non-white person sets foot on the moon in 2028.

I frankly despise this sort of liberal, progressive rubbish.
For the record, the first Black astronaut to travel into space was Guion “Guy” Bluford, who flew on the Space Shuttle "Challenger" on 30 August 1983.
The Apollo programme ran from 1961 to 1972 (54 years ago), and it's astronauts were selected from a very specific technical skills pool at a particular moment in history.
Making this an identity issue frankly sickens me. It is again divisive. It reduces an incredible engineering an scientific achievement down to being one of identity politics.
What matters isn't that Apollo astronauts over half a century ago were white men. What matters is that the successful launch of Artemis II is an incredible achievement for all concerned. I wish those onboard a smooth Mission and safe return.
Voice of Reason@brexitblog_info
WTF?! “Apollo was all white men..” Disgusting to watch Sky reporter Thomas Moore bring race into the launch of the Artemis Moon mission. As if the original astronauts weren’t doing it on behalf of all mankind. One truly despairs at the woke mind virus. @elonmusk @Iromg

@Laura4667413761 @calvinrobinson Trump is good at ironic humour. It's lost on many.
English

@calvinrobinson It's called a joke. You really need to get a sense of humor. If you listen to it he is mocking the "no king" protestors and pointing out that he is not a king.
English

I am with the No Kings lot on this one.
Faux pas.

A TV show dump a load of loony lefties on a isolated Scottish Island for a year on their own with no tech. To see how they cope with each other and survive.

Bowie got onboard with the internet very early on before people did realise what it was. I remember him speaking about how you can communicate on web-sites anonymously using little more than CB handles without logging in. He quickly saw the potential of it for good and bad. This interview was around 1999. At that time SEGA was putting modems in their Dreamcast consoles therefore you didn't need a computer. All you needed was a games console and TV to get online. Bowie had been using the Web a good while before that.
