@dangiuz If it’s any help, you may want to look into David Lynch’s explorations on defining art/creation. He believes the truest art, the kind capable of transformation, is created and understood through feeling, intuition, and insight…not logic. Do what feels right!

Some thoughts about Gen AI. I've been passionate about technology since I was a kid. Consoles, computers, cars, programs, apps, robots. Everything. I won't lie, I did try these AI art tools, because I'm still that curious kid that wanted to see how new things work, what they do and so on. I wanted to better understand if and how they could have been ethically useful to my practice; after all, the machine has been long-time fed with my art. And there's a new tool every day, they serve different purposes and obviously, the outputs are impressive, fast, and whatever you are trying to achieve, with a little luck you probably will. But my main issue is that when I make art I have this personal barometer that asks "Did I put enough of myself into this, to feel proud?" and I just don't have that with AI. For a long time I had this interior conflict: should I learn how to best include AI tools in my workflow? Will I fall behind with times if I don't? Will I be left out of certain circles if I don't? Or should I keep doing my thing, keep my art and practice 100% human and carry on? And it might be a limitation of mine, but I believe I'm sticking with the latter. With all due respect to everyone making cool stuff with it.

@bindureddy Gotta have some sympathy here. Feels like a lot of individuals feel pushed to succumb to whatever type of content the algorithm promotes. If your livelihood depends on engagement, and the algorithm favors brain rot, the timelines will unfortunately be slopish.

“Society will never accept AI” is a wild take from a biologist when half the field already uses it for protein folding, RNA seq pipelines and image analysis. It’s akin to a programmer rejecting compilers and debuggers and using punch cards for code. I genuinely do not understand how people like this exist. Imagine you are a biologist. Everyone around you is using AlphaFold, AI assisted protein design, and automated image analysis, and what you’re HAND counting cells? so eventually, So even though many biologist and programmers, use it to speed up their productivity, but no you as a biologist you’re gonna stay pure and never use the tools that’ll objectively aid in the discovery process! Genius!!

@WorldEverett Ai does accelerate execution but I’d go as far as to claim human vision is not enough. The talent and effort are the secret behind high quality production, it’s not something Ai tools will ever be able to replace.
