@UKDan86 @GriftReport There’s also likely a tax relief benefit/rent reduction as they’ll argue it’s sustainable/net zero benefit to the high street/no staff/minimal amenities or water usage. It’s how corporate suits spin things anyway.

@UKDan86 @GriftReport It isn’t additional electronic machinery, it’s actually less, they will also cost less to run than fridges and freezers that are constantly opened by customers. Less lighting required. Staff room now a stock room.
English

@UKDan86 @GriftReport I don’t have to employ people. I hire contact workers/zero hour if anything. No NI contributions/pension contributions. By having no staff you can likely reduce insurance overheads. Stock in machines are likely long life/or have a high profit margin….

I’m starting to think that executives in the prem looked at the colours on their ‘breach guide’ during a long two hour meeting without sandwiches, low on energy, and wrongly determined it was Everton, deducted points. If Everton are docked points for this, I may have cracked it.

Labour's Energy Bill Cut Is A Lie. Here's The Maths
Labour are celebrating cutting your energy bill. Let's be honest about what actually happened.
At the Budget they said £150. Then £117. The real number is £29.
Here's why. The price cap is quoted as an annual figure but it only runs April to June. Three months. After then it's forecast to jump by ~£288, wiping out the "saving" entirely. The honest quarterly saving is around £29. Labour are comparing a 3-month pro-rated cut against your full year bills and hoping you don't notice.
And here's what they really don't want you to see: when Labour took power in July 2024, the price cap was £1,568. Today, after their celebrated cut, it stands at £1,641. Your energy bill is £73 *higher* than when they arrived.
But that's only half the story. Today, the same day Labour are trumpeting this "cut" here's what else went up:
Council tax: +£111 (average Band D, up 4.9%)
Water bills: +£33 (up to £57 in some regions)
Broadband: up to +£48 (BT, Virgin, TalkTalk etc.)
TV licence: +£5.50
Car tax: +£5
That's £200+ in real, annual rises. Against a £29 energy saving for just one quarter.
You are worse off today than you were yesterday. The press are calling it "Awful April." Labour are calling it relief. This isn't a cut in the cost of living. It's another Labour lie.

Jill Dando was going to speak out about a huge trafficking ring within the BBC and the Establishment. She knew how filthy and evil the corporation was, she knew the BBC covered up for the likes of Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris and Stuart Hall, and MI5 took her out as they didn't want to be exposed. Jill had the goods on many of them, so they had to move in quick and murderer her.
The BBC should be taken down and arrests should be made. The BBC is a cesspool of swamp creatures who are involved in murdering, rape, torture of innocent children. Jill Dando wanted to save the children, like many others. But if you spoke out against the establishment and try to expose them, you get disposed of.
Never forget Jill Dando.

I give it two weeks before people realise that not only did they raise the ‘price cap’, energy costs are in fact increasing and will continue to do so, this is a complete lie, easily proven by any MSM journalist that has a smidgen of critical thinking left.
Ed Miliband@Ed_Miliband
From today, energy bills will fall by 7% for families across the country. We took the decision in the Budget to ask those with the broadest shoulders to pay their fair share, and today we see the result of that. Vital cost of living support delivered by this government.
English

@JamesMelville @stephenbarr4 ‘GB Energy’? Anyone @Ed_Miliband ….? I preferred the Tories ‘life is going to be shit for poor people and the working class but we’re making big stonks so don’t worry about it lads, the national debt will be paid off in five generations’ as opposed to the gaslighting duplicity
English

It sounds like an April Fools’ Day joke…but sadly it isn’t. It’s Ed Miliband’s energy policy….which goes something like this….
“Let’s spend £4.5 trillion on net zero over the next 25 years. Let’s increase taxes to pay for net zero. Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments worth £7.2million from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give huge renewable energy construction contracts to China. Lets fail to improve gas storage facilities, Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £1billion this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”
