British High Commission delegation’s visits to PHC A high-level delegation of the British High Commission, led by Development Director Sam Waldock, visited the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) to review collaboration under the FCDO-funded Evidence for Health (E4H) programme.

Secretary Health Punjab Nadia Saqib met British High Commissioner Jane Marriot to review the E4H Programme. Both sides reaffirmed partnership to strengthen Punjab’s health system with focus on UHC, health security, data reforms and future work in digital health & climate response

In Okara, Faisalabad and Lahore, it was powerful to see how UK-supported programmes are helping people access healthcare, protection, and support. Local partnerships are at the heart of development that’s inclusive, dignified, and lasting.

District Health Office Islamabad & E4H Federal team held a productive meeting to strategize tools, steps & processes for developing the District Action Plan — a key step towards building a stronger, more resilient healthcare system through collective efforts. #DHOIslamabad #E4H

Driving health transformation in Punjab! On 8 Aug 2025, the 4th Steering Committee Meeting of the E4H reviewed progress, endorsed new technical assistance areas & agreed next steps. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Aon Abbas Bukhari, Special Secretary (Operations), @HP_GoP.

At the 6th E4H KP Steering Committee meeting held on 6 Aug 2025, participants from @HealthKPGovt, E4H and @ukinpakistan reviewed progress, aligned strategies and discussed new technical assistance areas. The meeting was chaired by KP Health Secretary Mr. Shahid Ullah Khan.

National Advisory Committee (NAC) meeting recently organised by @nhsrcofficial with support from E4H, engaged stakeholders to discuss National Health and Population Policy, Review of Global Health Initiatives, Multisectoral Health Workforce Strategy & National Digital Health Hub.

British High Commission (BHC) Development Director Jo Moir, along with other BHC and E4H representatives, met with Minister @HP_GoP Khawaja Imran Nazir and Secretary @HP_GoP Nadia Saquib to discuss ongoing technical assistance support and future planning under UK's E4H Programme.

FCDO Representatives from @ukinpakistan recently participated in a review meeting at the E4H Lahore office to discuss the programme's work plan and district approach for Punjab.

@HealthKPGovt recently reviewed the #UHC Implementation Roadmap, developed with technical support from UK’s #Evidence for Health Programme. The roadmap outlines strategic actions needed for #policy formulation and improved health service delivery in KP.

At the #PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent, Development Director British High Commission Jo Moir, emphasised UK's support for Pakistan's health sector reforms towards Universal Health Coverage.

Strengthening PHC is key to achieving UHC. At #PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent, experts from Punjab, KP & Sindh explored service delivery models, UHC alignment & digital innovations for immunisation. Scaling up PHC reforms is crucial for a resilient & inclusive health system.

Climate change is worsening health risks in Pakistan, straining health systems. At #PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent, E4H, WHO, UNICEF & govt leaders discussed climate resilience in health, workforce preparedness & risk assessments. Urgent action is needed to build adaptation.

In Pakistan, health data can transform decision-making, yet challenges exist. The #PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent showcased HMIS innovations from Punjab, Sindh & KP to drive policy & service improvements through system integration, data-driven planning & monitoring.

At the #PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Health, highlighted Pakistan’s progress and challenges in achieving #UHC and the critical need to strengthen #PHC.

#PathwaysToProgressLearningEvent, hosted by @nhsrcofficial and Integrity, with support from @ukinpakistan, aims to foster discussions on leveraging health data for informed decision-making, addressing impact of climate change on health and scaling up #PHC reforms.
