Can't stop thinking that at some point @google thought it was a good idea to name its model Bard. What a weird name and what a weird couple of years for google being the laughingstock of the AI world.

Now this is one wild story. The amount of lawsuits coming down the pipeline with stories like this is going to be astronomical.

@distributionat #1- What??? Quite the opposite, I find the chatgpt crawler to do a bad job, only indexing mainstream and #1 results. Anyone that has tried it will know

It's really surprising that ChatGPT's search is superior to Gemini's. Like what are you doing Google?

I still think they should combine the Thinking effort in the same "Send" button. the longer you press the button the harder it will think. just a touch and you have a quick response, if tokens are a concern you could have an "Energy bar" that gets depleted the more you "think" and recharges through the day...

Grok Heavy is a complete game changer. It’s noticeably faster now, and I honestly use it for everything. I’ve got 16 agents running for me at all times, and it makes me feel superhuman. It’s like having a team of the smartest minds working for you 24/7. I can break down anything, verify anything, and get answers instantly. It’s hard to explain until you actually use it. For me, $3,000 a year is a no-brainer, especially if you are serious about AI.

@icanvardar Took 1 hours of tinkering with openclaw and spending 20$ in 5 prompts to realize that all this is pure hype and a lot of nonsense. Is like one of those TV commercials in the 90s of a ridiculous device, like the Sony magic link

Agent's coding is a bug, not a feature. Ideally these algorithms could see the low-level code, even the binary pulses itself and create models much more sophisticated. Instead, we train them on a flawed code we humans can understand. can't wait to see how this plays out.

Two notes from this year-old prediction: 1) You can either view this as hype (100% of code is not written by AI) or a startlingly solid prediction (Claude Code didn’t exist then, but now writes a remarkably high percentage of code) 2) Adoption is more of a barrier than technology
Chubby♨️@kimmonismus

In 3 to 6 months AI will write about 90% of all code. In about 12 months (1 year!) AI will write 100% of all code. That’s coming from Dario Amodei, CEO Anthropic. So year looking bad for several people and looking good for self-developing AI

@teja2495 They are outsourcing the risk pretty much. Makes me think that they basically publish all kind of research to see if there is anybody that makes money with them so they can come back and pour money on it afterward.

Google could have kept this algorithm private instead of open sourcing it. But they allowed everyone, including competitors, to benefit from their research. That is why I respect Google. If you did not know, this entire AI era became possible because Google openly published their transformer model research paper.

@KeyTryer Gemini 3.1 pro is the best chatbot by far IMO. Anyone with a non-coding job that has taken the time to send the same prompt to all the models will realize pretty soon. Chatgpt pro is the best for complex problems. Opus coding

@Antunes1 Why a foreigner should get paid for their opinion of a country not of their own where they don't pay taxes. I'm just confused

Nikita Bier says Creator Payouts will now be affected by the user’s location. But told me personally I wouldn’t get paid at all: “We won’t send you money overseas.” Why is a regular user being targeted like this? I just think this change raises many issues: - What about US citizens living abroad? (many are full time X creators) - What about legitimate international creators? - Users from countries with little user base? (Vatican, 800 people; Andorra, 80k, etc.) - International full time X creators? Why should an account like mine not be paid at all while delivering over 100M impressions a month? Because the Head of Product doesn’t like me? I think @elonmusk should look into this. There are smarter ways to deal with ‘foreign interference’ from 3rd world countries. I was suspended within minutes of respectfully commenting about Nikita, then unbanned by Elon Musk himself. Hope it doesn’t happen again. Just my opinion, respectfully.

@nikitabier @jonatanpallesen I totally agree , but people in the US also don't deserve having ragebait and silicon valley as their first timeline. Give us the option of seeing the wonders of Europe and other parts of the world.

For a random person signing up in France: Their very first timeline will likely include Trump ragebait and Silicon Valley chatter. We can’t continue to incentivize the same kind of posts forever—and not try to expand our inventory. The network will never grow. It will proceed to be a monoculture with a handful of countries rationally spamming the replies of those posts to get $30/week.

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

I agree. GPT Pro is in another league, for me personally would be the leading reason to switch to the $200/month plan. I tried gemini deep-think and it seems to be a gemini pro on steroids, but not what OpenAI is doing. plus the fact that it takes soo long to process, makes you work on the prompt a lot more, like you want to give the best prompt possible before waiting 1 hour for a response.

GPT-5.4 Pro continues to be the only model of its class. For anything really hard & complex, I throw it into the maw with every bit of context I can think of. More often than not, something very useful comes out. I can't get the same results from Codex or Code or anything else.
