@CAyLabour I hope it’s true…..my concern is there is a pre waiting list. Just to “assist” figures and targets. And this is just a Labour thing. I know it was happening in the past government too. There are a few ways of keeping these figures artificially low

@TrisOsborneMP The scandal is the lying. Your chancellor’s decision (or backbench rebels) choice to raise taxes and what to spend it on is a left government choice and democracy, whether some like it or not. But lying is never good, whatever political persuasion!

Economy was in a better place shocker. And no black holes in the finances it is now being claimed… Increased headroom for market confidence cutting child poverty, more money to improve public services and support vulnerable. The scandal.
Tom Harwood@tomhfh

This is more of a scandal than most realise. The Chancellor’s tax rises on all of us weren’t for a black hole. They were for welfare. Political choices to squeeze productive people dry. She’s pretending more tax was necessary. But it’s only because she *chose* to hike spending.

Last Thursday at Medway Council, the Labour administration proposed changes to Full Council meetings which means that the Independent Group will no longer be able to bring a motion forward at every meeting. Instead we MAY get one slot per year. Declining democracy in action.

'Don't tell me you don't want to be out on strike - because that is exactly where you are. Own it.' As resident doctors walk out again, @wesstreeting calls out the 'reprehensible and cartel-like behaviour' of their union.

@MrAWJLawrence2 @naushabah_khan @UKLabour Rents have been rising since 2021. Buy-to-let mortgages fell when Bank Rate jumped from 0.1% to 5.25% in under two years. And Renters’ Rights Act? Not even in force yet. So unless Labour can time-travel, this ain’t unintended consequence. You’re just blaming whatever’s convenient

The Renters Righrs Bill supported by @naushabah_khan has seen 57K properties already lost to the rental market and a flood of buy to let properties waiting to be sold. But the real killer is a big increase in average rents. @UKLabour political really are total dumb to the impact of their decisions.

@LeaderofKCC @vincemaple It's not tho is it because reform didn't have any councillors when the Tories passed this and the independent & reform councillors haven't submitted ANY questions - so it's more a case of you playing politics and your colleagues in Medders having nothing to say.

@hannahskerritt0 Independents have submitted questions. I note the use of the singular Independent, but just to clarify for others. We only submit questions and motions when it’s relevant and not for the sake of it. In fact we withdrew a motion last time as it wasn’t necessary to continue.

I'm the lowest I've been for a long time. But I have to share a belly laugh moment, because they get me through. Told F to save the baby two small pieces of pizza for her lunch. The pieces:

@MedwayTories @_LiamWalker_ Maybe you should start taking lectures from someone soon, as things aren’t going well for you. As for the changes to motions, perhaps you will care when it affects you, i.e. after the next election!

@_LiamWalker_ Not to mention he never had any problem with LGR when he was a Conservative (until last week). Oh, and he full well knows the rules on motions were last reviewed a few years ago, and latest change is to reduce length of council meetings - from a x-party working group!

The frantic, desperate messages you have to send your parents, your brother, and your sister when your child is dying. I don’t remember texting them. I found these by accident earlier today. We were in hell. It was hell. “He’s in the last stages now.

Everyone is talking about it. 🗣️ The roads! 🚧🚙 Finally someone is fixing them. 🪏 That’s our political choice after 14 years of decline. And you’ll be noticing it as you travel… 😎👌🏻
CommunityAd Ltd@CommunityAd

Resurfacing works are underway across Medway as part of a major investment in the road network. One of the most recent upgrades was completed at Hempstead Valley Drive. @medway_council extends its thanks for patience as planned works continue. #Medway #Council #RoadSafety

@ellielexx As a Christian who has also lost a son, 9, who was born with a chromosome abnormality, All I know is…..I don’t know the answer, and don’t believe I will this side of heaven. It isn’t fair. But don’t believe it’s God’s fault either. But I DO believe I will see my Wilber again.x

Dearest Billy, I’m not quite sure how I feel about karma now. You hear people talk about it a lot – how karma will catch up with you, whether you’ve done something mildly annoying to something really terrible. I used to throw that term around as casually as the next person.

We're aware of an issue affecting voice services and are working hard to fix it. Data services are working normally, so calls can be placed via third-party messaging apps. We're really sorry for any inconvenience caused.
