@buccocapital Been saying this for a year plus. If/ when it becomes obvious that it's being beaten at its own game, it folds into SpaceX. These days, it's more important to always seem successful than to ever cut your losses.

Likely we see TSLA sub-$1T. It must merge w/ SPCX TSLA is worth not $1T. Maybe $300b? $500? It’s a vehicle to invest in Elon With two ways to invest in Elon, the focus of true believers is divided and the value of both entities will keep declining. They must and will merge

So you think earning $408,000 a year is a lot of money? After working 50+ hours a week, being stressed out of your mind, and barely seeing your kids, it might not be the dream income you imagined. Look how quickly the money goes. $1/month left over. What would you cut?

@Sangkipz4 @iPaulCanada I'm not slighting our boy, but nothing that Messi has been doing this for many years. Walk the game, study the defense, wander around into gaps, then move like lightning for a strike. They have different styles, but at times they have similar ideas.

@joshbmichaels @TrungTPhan And when you're shooting for a certain demo in one country, it's easier to please than multi quadrants across continents. Thus, ppl make rational choices with what they're presented: a lot of dreck, with a few gems they watch in a weekend and then have to wait 2 years for. 3/n

Lucas has a good interview with Matt Stone, who said he gave up on new TV shows because streaming economics “distort the art”. Stone’s view helps explain 30-70% viewership drop-off for Netflix shows between S1 and S2. Streaming shows are created at volume and not every episode can maintains the quality bar. This causes problem because one of the key metrics for streamers is “completion rate” (% of people who finish a show they started). Low completion rates lead to shows getting cancelled. This is why so many with devoted fan bases get scrapped after 1 or 2 seasons. Viewers enter shows not knowing how many seasons they will get. When execs decide to renew, it often takes 2-3 years between new seasons. Even when a show gets multiple seasons, the median viewer then bounces after a bad episode…which then lowers completion rate…which leads to eventual cancellation…which conditions viewer to expect streaming shows to all eventually crap the bed and/or leave narrative arcs hanging (if they get cancelled). Stone did watch a few streaming show but always caught a dud episode and “it feels like your wasting my time, it’s a betrayal.” Add in Netflix’s binge mode style — without the traditional weekly audience can talk about the show cadence — and it’s hard for viewers to truly invest their attention. Also, shows that do get a 2nd season have the marketing energy split with the conveyor belt of brand new shows Netflix is always cranking out. “The butter and bread equation has gotten screwed up in the 2010s,” Stone says. “There’s this much butter in the world but we’re going to make [a lot more] bread. There’s just not that much good stuff out there.” *** Full interview here from 2025: youtu.be/xVvNc4x88AM?si…

A lot of people are like "he quit DOGE because he's running for governor of Ohio now" and I'm like "yeah, because he realized he couldn't cut a trillion dollars off the federal budget, thanks for the non-argument." And it's a half-joke. Mostly kidding but also not really.

No many goverments have cut spending before (not recently i would grant you) but only one man has said "Hey why dont we just catch the rocket on the way down . that should save some time" Having said that my bet is that he looses interest in this in about 6 months and moves on. I hope im wrong

@buxdabomb @AlgorithmMD @LynAldenContact That's how you know his whole point is foolish. He's down that his silly concept is completely wrong, brings new goal post that bails him out (he thinks), then tries to hand wave away the wrecking ball of even that point. You had him at the beginning, no need to follow up.

@dailydirtnap I choose Singapore, but just saying: "peaceful" and "mass executions of those you decide are enemies" doesn't match. In fact, one might say this tactics are why he isn't exactly revered across the continent.

@SMBQuest @blueprintsmb22 "...who were serious..." There's the issue. Most white collar jobs and blue collar mgmt requires years of seriousness. Good decision-making and good performance. It's not that ppl are smarter, it's that they spent years achieving long term goal, and it becomes a habit.

@blueprintsmb22 Biggest frustration is folks that can’t get out of their own way. Never saw anything close to 2 and resent the stereotype. The folks I worked with who were serious were competing to be the best. The rest were in it for prestige, resting on laurels or looking for next opportunity.

The biggest adjustment (and I was warned) from going from a white collar W2 life to business ownership in the blue collar world is meeting people who are incredibly irrational and find that being irrational is their favorite way to frustrate those that color within the lines. At some point, I'll share this SMB story but the one thing about Wall Street W2 life is that everything people did made sense even if 1) made them come off as an a$$hole or 2) was illegal. The motive? Usually money or protecting the illusion they were doing well. In the blue collar SMB world, some people wake up trying to create problems for others instead of actively trying to improve their own current bleak life situation.

@kateyrich Chuck Norris appears in a cloud of sulfer, slams down the hot sauce he brewed from the blood of Satan during his successful coup in hell, and waits. Tom laughs cheerfully and says, "attaboy Charlie!," and smothers his next wing in it. Morris whimpers, retreats. Fade to black.

I do think the Tom Cruise best actor campaign is going to be intense in a way we are not prepared for, and him going on Hot Ones is an extremely important part of that process
Jasmine('s boobs hurt)@Ranting_Trans

It's the exact opposite actually. Tom Cruise goes on and doesn't even react to the sauce, no matter how hot it gets. Only indication that it's having any effect is that his smile gets almost imperceptibly larger with each wing. He never breaks eye contact the whole time.

@dampedspring I'm late to this. There will be arrests because that is the theater which makes the announcement seem true. Later, when the charges are dropped, it will be in the midst of other absurdities or tragedies, and ignored.
