Want to say this: props to Oscar for showing up today and representing boxing even if I thought he could have been more prepared. No other boxing promoter or luminary showed up. Salute.

@40kgCostume The thing is, all the ideal solutions are ridiculous cause them guys are crooks and won't do stuff to help boxing and instead fill their own pockets. If rules got in place for sanctioning bodies to do everything right, well...you know the guys running it

@FanagerNot No there shouldn’t, one sanctioning body shouldn’t have a monopoly on world titles but there should be a bigger incentive to be to make fights. UFC fans say they have less world titles but there’s so many MMA organisations that hold their own world title it doesn’t make sense.

Here’s a crazy idea how about instead of ripping out the financial protection of fighters just so you can get less champions you just petition for less champions across boxing? Seems like the amount of champions isn’t the problem and the control of the finances is.

Nick Khan just testified in front of The U.S. Senate for The Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act. He says the WBC recognizes too many champions (163 champions across 18 weight classes.) Below is the full speech:

There’s genuinely people who think Nakatani got washed in this fight, seriously convinced they never watch it lmao. It was very close, I had Nakatani up 7-5.

@40kgCostume There should only be 1 champ per weight class. Only way to do it is to get rid of the sanctioning bodies. Sorry but removing interim and regular bs champs is not nearly enough

@FanagerNot I’m not saying get rid of the sanctioning bodies I’m saying reduce the amount of champions instead of taking the fighters rights away and giving the power to the promotors

Loma losing to Teo was just the icing on the fraud cake that boxing media was eating his entire career. "He could beat Floyd at 130" but couldn't figure out Salido body punches or Teo fake ass Philly shell counter punching. Bruh went life and death with Jamaine Ortiz ffs

Breaking: Heavyweight rising star Moses Itauma is set to headline the O2 Arena in London on July 25, per sources. Opponent is still TBD, but sources tell @uncrownedcombat it is expected to be another step up for the 21 year old. This will mark the first time Itauma headlines in London.

The disrespect is disgusting 😠 Inoue is the most dominant and active elite fighter in boxing yet the media keeps favoring guys at the higher weights who fight once a year... 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Would a win over Junto Nakatani make Naoya Inoue the top pound-for-pound fighter? 👀 The panel weighs in. #InsideTheRing | Latest episode LIVE NOW on The Ring’s YouTube 📺

@DanCanobbio Trust me, it will be better for boxing long-term if this bill passes. Btw, the Ali act is totally useless. Like seriously, when was the last time it got enforced?

@stokedboxing Good reminder to myself how stupid the average boxing fan is. Although it's probably satire anyways

@CurtP_ Because the Ali act never gets enforced anyways and plenty of people can make money through a new promotion entering. Everyone complaining is virtue signaling

Why has the opposition to the Muhammad Ali Revival Act been so poor and almost nonexistent?
