Just FYI, with reduced traffic through the Strait of Hormuz (it cannot be objectively assessed as fully closed), China risks losing roughly 40 to 50 percent of its oil imports, which come from Gulf producers whose exports transit the Strait, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, and Iran, plus an additional roughly 3 to 5 percent from Venezuela, putting nearly half of its imported oil supply at risk. China also risks losing roughly 25 to 30 percent of its LNG imports, primarily from Qatar.

NYC - Mental health provider Jennifer Koonings filmed herself shouting antisemitic slurs - "baby killers" and "f*ck Israel" - at Jewish individuals peacefully going about their day. When I did my masters at UChicago, I remember meeting with Doostdar in his office hours because I was interested in him being my advisor. At the time I wasn’t engaged in Israel-discourse in any way, so I certainly had no idea that this person would celebrate my slaughter for being Jewish. I had no idea what was lurking under the surface.
