50/50 Men Who Disappear When It's Time to cook and clean.
I have no problem with men who want to do 50/50 with their wives.
My issue is simple: don't be a 50/50 man only when money is involved and then vanish when it's time for house chores. And don't expect your wife to be your personal cook. Cooking should be rotated. Both of you take turns.
If you want 50/50, do it from top to bottom, finances to house chores:
If your wife is cleaning the bedroom, you should be washing the toilet.
If she's cooking, you should be washing the plates.
If she goes to the market, you should do the cooking.
You should also carry pregnancy. Oh wait, you can't. So maybe stop acting like she's doing nothing.
If she's bathing one child, you should be bathing the other.
If she cooks today, you cook tomorrow.
If she's sweeping, you should be mopping.
If she's paying school fees for one child, you should be paying for the other.
If she's washing clothes, you should be rinsing and spreading them on the line.
That is what real 50/50 should look like. Not just when money is involved.
You want your wife to match you financially but the moment it's time to clean, cook, or carry responsibility around the house, suddenly you become a "traditional man".
You don't get to pick and choose. Either you are all in or you are not. You cannot be progressive with her income and primitive with her labour.
Something is wrong with that picture. Fix it.
Above all, love God.

@yinkanubi As a father to a special autistic child, I went through the comments and my heart bled. Saw a couple of comments suggesting that they would have used 2by2 on the child. Makes me worried the kind of society my little princess will be facing, but then we aren't relenting
English

As the parent of an autistic child I read with shock and sadness some of the comments to the tweet below. There were comments saying that the boy should have been beaten with belt and slapped. One even said he should have been locked up at home.
There is so much to unpack from this video and the comments but frankly I have no energy to engage. First, let me address the issue of the damage caused by the boy. I am pretty sure that the store will have a strong case to make a claim with their insurance company which is the reason why their reaction was somewhat calm.
What we witnessed in that video is a typical day for parents of autistic children. They have spells like this when they can be violent to themselves and to others. Sometimes it comes out in the form of being disruptive (like making noise or throwing stuff around), but the end product is that it tends to "embarrass" the parents and make people uncomfortable around them.
It is this feeling of "embarrassment" that creates stigma and results in the wrong decision of parents locking the child away from society and isolating them. The worse thing that could ever happen to them. Stigma has lead to special needs children been treated differently. It was what Debola Daniels suffered from a fast food company. It is what many people with disabilities suffer every single day.
If we want to have a more inclusive society, we need to be better with taking care of those with disabilities. Our schools must have teachers trained with skills to identify and work with children with special needs. Our public transportation systems, must include provisions to ease entry, exit and parking for those who are disabled. Our corporate facilities must be planned to accommodate everyone with inclusive toilet facilities, functional lifts and walkways.
As the bible says in Matthew 25:40 "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me". We are all God's children. We are all unique and special. And guess what? We all have one disability or another... some seen, some not seen.

A lot of States have appointed commissioners but there are no debates on the quality of commissioners at the state level. States can appoint dummies and misfits, the ministerial list is what concerns everyone.
In your state, your commissioners for Health, Agric, Education, Finance, Budget and planning, Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure are more important to your existence than any Federal minister.
We are not ready for this restructuring.

@woye1 unfortunately na the kids of the rich who are working in civil service do all this. no child of the poor working in the civil service will go abroad and be receiving salaries in Nigeria. After all the initial gra gra nothing happens. we have seen this before. this too will pass.
English

3,657 civil servants did not show up for IPPIS verification. So ICPC is investigating on them. 2nd phase is those who went on scholarship and refused to come back home. They are receiving salaries. Once OHOCSF calls for verification, they will buy tickets, show and go back. Na turn by turn. They are tweeting how abroad dey work and Nigeria na bad place. You will have a day in the court soon.

Whenever there’s an infidelity scandal involving a man, some people will bring up the picture of the wife and put it beside the side chic and begin to compare their beauty and ask what the man was looking for that he wasn’t getting from his wife.
I sincerely hope that one day you people will understand that cheating has nothing to do with the physical features of a man’s wife.
A beautiful wife does not stop cheating. Jay Z cheated on a whole Beyoncé.
A wife that acts porn in the bedroom with her husband does not stop cheating. If you like give him snake in the monkey shadow style, it does not stop cheating.
An educated wife does not stop cheating. We have seen too many stories of husbands cheating with illiterate house helps that came from the village.
Wearing sexy clothes inside the house does not stop cheating. If you like wear pant to cook, your man will still cheat on you on that girl that wears Hijab 24/7.
Cheating is 100% the urge to satisfy a guilty pleasure and the only thing that can prevent it is discipline and of course, the special grace of God.
And I have to say this even if the entire world will disagree with me, it doesn’t mean that the cheater does not love his wife. Cheating is wrong, it is a sin against God and the wedding vows the man took but it doesn’t mean that the man now despises his wife and doesn’t love her anymore.
Love for men is rarely emotional, it is deeply practical and rooted in provision, security and responsibility to their wives. A married man that leaves town and sleeps with a random girl in a hotel has sinned against his God and his wife and betrayed his wedding vows. It doesn’t mean that he no longer loves his wife, or that she is not beautiful or sexy or that she doesn’t give him peace at home. We sin against God everyday, does this mean we no longer love him?
SEX IS NOT LOVE.
It is also not the woman’s fault that her husband cheated. The only person responsible for cheating is the man.
You can now insult me.
