Margaret Thatcher built more boats on the Clyde than the SNP ever have and now the Islanders, shipyard workers and taxpayers are paying the price. #ferries #scotlibdems #elections

Great interview from @ClaireCoutinho. The reason Ed Miliband won’t lift the ban on new drilling licenses is because he needs to save face. He does not want to admit he got it wrong and doesn’t care if the whole country suffers. 👉youtu.be/5anXrBUKcqU?si…

@AgentP22 @anugent514 Is Swinney downright dishonest - unless he’s just terminally stupid. Westminster doesn’t *control* energy sources - as I was saying in 4 newspapers today.

Only the SNP could “save” a company with £45 million of your money and then watch it sack Scottish workers and ship jobs to China. Utter incompetence.

Stephen, you’re rewriting history here. Let’s not forget the SNP’s own approach to Grangemouth — years of inaction, lack of urgency, and no serious industrial strategy when it actually mattered. People remember that. And on energy — your party has spent years undermining Scotland’s oil and gas sector, the very industry that underpins jobs, investment and energy security. You can’t weaken domestic production then complain about reliance on imports. Now we’re meant to believe you’re concerned about aviation fuel security, while backing new taxes on the aviation industry in Scotland? It’s completely contradictory. You can’t talk about “strength” while supporting policies that actively make Scotland more dependent, less competitive, and less attractive for investment. This isn’t strategy — it’s political opportunism, and people can see straight through it.

The SNP knew about Linden. They closed ranks. They went after the whistleblower. Now the truth’s out — and it’s ugly. This pair need to sacked yet John Swinney's hiding behind having a review that will go nowhere. thetimes.com/article/d55d5a…

The SNP can’t run a ferry service… …but think they can run an independent country? Absolutely delusional.

@StephenFlynnSNP The SNP did nothing about the impending closure of Grangemouth when informed two years ahead of time that was likely to happen. Also no SNP MPs bothered to attend in Grangemouth debate in Parliament. So away with your crocodile tears Stephen.

Get in the bin, you and your party had zero interest in Grangemouth and your bedfellows the Greens wanted it shut down. Stop gaslighting people, nobody’s buying it.

@StephenFlynnSNP Stop lying! The owner was taking losses of £5m A WEEK and was sick of the SNP & Greens trying to stifle his business & shut down the North Sea. He took his business elsewhere & now you whine! What a tool you are! Oh, and you abstained in WM last week re new drilling in NS.

It’s all virtue signalling. SNP had a choice last week in Westminster to vote for more oil & gas drilling……SNP chose not to vote for it. Especially disgraceful from you and Blackman who are Aberdeen MPs and can see the destruction first hand. Ashamed to say you are my MP

Grangemouth produced jet fuel for all of Scotland. The UK Government let it shut. Surely people are realising that outsourcing jobs, investment, emissions and energy security leaves us weaker, not stronger. Scotland’s resources should be controlled by Scotland.

Leaked recordings confirm it: SNP insiders knew about Linden's depraved activities. SNP insiders protected Linden. SNP insiders panicked about headlines — not victims. Horrific.

Energy security should come before ideology. Imported LNG is expensive, it has to be liquefied, shipped across the world, then converted back into gas. Every step adds cost. Domestic gas from the North Sea goes straight into our system through pipelines. That’s why Norway and the US enjoy cheaper energy and stronger economic growth. Meanwhile the UK has some of the highest energy costs in the world, driven by excessive taxation and an obsession with expensive Net Zero policies that currently provide only around 20% of our energy needs. If we want lower bills and a stronger economy, the answer is simple: use our own resources. Drill sensibly for oil and gas and reduce punitive energy taxes.
