As part of my @wellcometrust-funded Career Development Award aimed at developing an ancestry-informed dementia cohort and Africa's first open-access iPSC biobank, we held a major capacity-building session yesterday in Damaturu. The training focused on core components of the study: ✅ Field cognitive screening tool ✅ Field data collection strategy ✅ Laboratory sample handling protocols Grateful to our dedicated team, @BioRTCNig staff, and collaborators (e.g. @conyike) for the shared commitment to this important work.
