I am deeply honoured and truly humbled to receive this congratulatory letter from the #Yobe State Government, #Nigeria issued under the directive of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State, on the award of my @wellcometrust Career Development Award. This recognition not only affirms the importance of our work on #Alzheimer’s disease and #neuroscience in Africa but also highlights the state's commitment to championing innovation and scientific excellence. I am sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, the Secretary to the State Government, and the people of Yobe for their continued support. This letter serves as a strong reminder that #science conducted in and for #Africa matters, and that when institutions and governments invest in science, the ripple effect can be transformative.

The Accelerating Drug Discovery for FTD application cycle is open, with LOIs due May 12.
