Meanwhile, Angelenos are still dodging encampments on their sidewalks, stepping over needles, and watching her “end street homelessness by 2026” promise crash and burn. Street homelessness only dropped ~17%, despite hundreds of millions spent. Forty percent of people “helped” went right back to the streets. Bass’s reply? More of the same: “getting more people off the streets” and “lowering crime to historic lows.” Tell that to the businesses boarding up and residents who still don’t feel safe.
