One of the best episodes in the entire series is parent and child. An episode where nothing happens but open conversation.

Before y'all misunderstand me. Let me explain why i think this episode doesn't deserve this much rating,even the show as a whole. This show is massively overrated, carried by suffering porn, emotional manipulation, and clean animation.The pacing is brutal. They stretched simple revelations and group reactions across two full episodes of endless talking and repetitive angst that could’ve been wrapped up tight in one. We get it — Subaru forgot everyone, everyone’s shocked and hurt. No need to drag it out like that. It kills all momentum. And Subaru isn’t worthy of being the MC. He’s still the same whiny, incompetent, self-pitying guy who just reacts, suffers, dies, and resets. After all these seasons, he brings almost nothing except trauma loops while the side characters carry the emotional weight. It’s not “deep growth” — it’s suffering porn for the audience.Animation and horror hits are great, but that + hype is inflating the score. Strip the visuals and it’s mid writing. JJK gets clowned for animation carry, but Re:Zero gets a free pass? Nah.Change my mind. I am not even a jjk fan btw.

i understand the disdain towards the "disposable black girlfriend misogynoir" trope seen in things a lot but oh my god it's like the Invincible writers took out all their anger out on making Amber insufferable and it is really hard to not root for Mark to get with Eve
