For a year, the world talked about “peace deal”. In that same year, Russia killed over 2,500 Ukrainian civilians and injured 12,000 more. Feeding the Russian dragon with concessions won’t bring peace. It only fuels the fire. Shared my thoughts below: en.interfax.com.ua/news/blog/1146…

This war is absolutely black and white. Russia is attacking civilians, bombing Ukraine’s energy system and trying to make people freeze in their homes at –20°C (–4°F). And it’s still happening. More in my comments to @TheDailyJagran

Kyiv. Another massive Russian attack on energy infrastructure lasted all night — clearly not a sign of peace. Deep gratitude to our air defenders and to our partners who continue providing vital support — despite the aggressor’s fake “peace” talk.

After yet another humiliation by the U.S., all the Russian dictator can do is attack civilians and try to freeze Ukrainians in their homes. Secondary sanctions proposed by Senator @LindseyGrahamSC could be a justified response!

🇺🇦🇺🇸 First day of Zelenskyy–Trump meetings: cautiously optimistic. No big promises, but key signals: security guarantees are fully agreed, the 20-point peace plan is ~90% ready. For the first time Trump said he’s open to visiting Ukraine if it helps move the process forward.

Met with the Bundestag’s Budget Committee yesterday. Today the 2026 budget will be voted on. It includes €11.5 billion in military aid for Ukraine. Truly grateful to our 🇩🇪colleagues — and to the German people.

Rewarding Russia with “Christmas gifts” 🎁 (Ukrainian cities, concessions) won’t end the war. Peace must be fair & lasting. I didn’t hold back in my chat with @CNN

Today @jimsciutto texted me and asked about my opinion on 28 points plan. Well, I believe Trump needs a peace deal Ukrainians can live with. Forcing a nation to its knees doesn’t earn you a Nobel — it earns you shame in history book

Are we getting closer to or further from the piece after recents interactions between Pr. Trump and @ZelenskyyUa? @jimsciutto, Thanks for the meaningful discussion about it on @CNN 🙏

Question: Is Trump’s demand Ukraine give up territory an acceptable price for peace for you? Ukrainian MP @HalynaYanchenko “No, it's absolutely not acceptable, First of all, we are talking not only about square kilometers. We're talking about cities and villages with, people living there with their homes. But in terms of logic, it also makes absolutely no sense if we are talking about finishing the war, then the aggressor should be punished and not rewarded.”

After the Trump–Putin meeting in Alaska, my first reaction was disappointment. But Trump’s talks with President Zelensky at the White House & with European leaders brought back hope. What’s next — in my interview with @JJGreenWTOP ⬇️ youtu.be/pbpXtuL9F10?si…

The only way to end the war is to force Putin to stop. The US holds the most powerful tool — secondary sanctions on Russia and those who keep trading with it. Cut off the funding, and Putin will have to stop the war. I said this on @CBSNews

🇺🇸🇺🇦 On the eve of the Trump–Putin meeting in Alaska, I told @CNN: Ukraine believes in Donald Trump’s ability to stop Putin. He has all the tools — and U.S. secondary sanctions are the most powerful. We are now closer to ending the war than ever before.

I believe Putin doesn’t sincerely want to end the war — his goal is to delay US secondary sanctions. I hope the Trump administration sets real terms, using sanctions to make him stop. Shared my thoughts with @LEXPRESS on the upcoming Alaska meeting. 🔗 lexpress.fr/monde/europe/a…

Putin’s weak spot? Being cut off from global markets via US secondary sanctions on those trading with Russia. Trump has the leverage to force real talks — will he use it? Discussed on CNN with @JimSciutto: why secondary sanctions matter
