The Translating Falasteen (@translatingpal) x The Sameer Project team got a request from the Safad and Hurriya shelter for 10 tents in Zaytoun area in North Gaza. On November 29th, our team set them all up for the cost of around $2,385. Help get more: chuffed.org/project/149178… Each tent shelters around 7-8 people and is waterproof. These 10 tents will provide relief to 80 people in Gaza with the upcoming rain and cold wind. What Palestinians in Gaza need is adequate shelter like caravans for protection from the elements. Unfortunately the military occupation has prevented the entry of caravans and building material, and even the tents available are not enough for 1.47 million people who don’t have adequate shelter. The fight for opening borders needs to continue and simultaneously the Sameer Project will continue to provide emergency aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
