Those who drooled over Ardas offered for Trump’s ascent, that tiny but loud section of the Sikh diaspora which convinced itself that an America under Trump would tilt against India only in their favour, now confronts a harder truth. The fantasy has nowhere left to hide. Origin does not dissolve. No accent, no passport, no marriage, no reinvention alters how Trumpism — which stands for white nationalism and white supremacy — decides to read you. Update: Stepped out tonight and found the main road in Subhash Nagar unusually smooth with the ONSET OF NAVRATRAS—none of the usual congestion. This improvement appears INCIDENTAL, almost like a DIVINE INTERVENTION, rather than the result of sustained enforcement, despite the matter being flagged yesterday. This ONLY underlines that the situation can be managed when conditions demand it. However, there is still NO ACTION on the inner residential lane in 17 Block, where double and triple parking of two- and four-wheelers continues to spill into the middle of the road late into the night. This raises a larger question: why does enforcement appear SELECTIVE on this stretch? Thank you for the response. However, there is no visible enforcement on the ground. I stepped out just now and found the situation unchanged. Random parking, severe congestion and the same nightly breakdown of traffic movement, rain or no rain. Since the matter has already been assigned, it should by now be reflected in visible on-ground action, especially during peak night hours when the problem is at its worst. With Navratras beginning tomorrow, the main road may see some temporary easing, but that will be short-lived. REFUSING THE PUNJABI MEDIA’S BAIT — THE ISSUE IS UPSTREAM I went on News18 on my terms, to challenge where sections of Punjabi media are heading. • I refused to engage with the latest AI-generated video of Sri Darbar Sahib (the Golden Temple). The real issue is the sensationalism amplifying it. • Clear message to the Punjabi channels: DO NOT PROMOTE THESE CLIPS. Broadcasting them feeds the very algorithms that reward provocation. • Community restraint is critical. Sharing such content, even in outrage, only extends its reach. Reaction drives virality. • A deeper concern is emerging — AI can fabricate Gurbani. This risk is real and demands immediate attention. •Sikh institutions must engage directly with tech platforms to ensure AI models handle sacred texts with accuracy and respect. Following up on this. The situation in Subhash Nagar, particularly 17 Block, continues to worsen every night with unchecked parking and encroachments. Dear LG @SandhuTaranjitS, Congratulations on your appointment as the Lieutenant Governor of the capital. I write to draw your attention to a persistent civic issue in Subhash Nagar, West Delhi, where encroachments and poor traffic management have steadily undermined basic order. Even the widest residential streets are now constricted by wrong and double, triple parking. In 17 Block, where I reside, the situation deteriorates AFTER 8:30 pm. The main road becomes heavily congested due to roadside eateries (except on Tuesdays), while the residential lane beginning at 17/117 is severely narrowed by routine double and triple parking LATE into the night. Several newly constructed buildings with designated parking are not using those spaces, leading to vehicles spilling onto already burdened streets. Equally concerning is the near absence of enforcement during nighttime hours, allowing the area to descend into indiscipline. Civic management must extend beyond daytime visibility. Residents should not have to contend with such conditions each evening. I hope your office will take steps to restore round-the-clock civic discipline in the area.
