Everyone’s pride needs to be put away for a moment and just look into it being a possibility it’s related, so that maybe a “cure” or preventative methods can be taken to save others from the same fate, should it be a cause. It doesn’t have to be one extreme side or the other, but a potential Trojan horse can’t be ignored just because it means backing off a solid stance you’ve held since the beginning. Nobody likes an “I told you so” but who cares? It’s ok to ask questions and challenge the narrative where it needs to be challenged in order to be better informed all the way around.
