My parents slept in separate rooms my whole childhood. I asked my dad about it once. He said they made a deal early because my mum snores and he tosses. He said they sat down one evening and talked it through like a business meeting. His words. He said the first night apart they both slept like babies. He said they were happier than they had ever been. He never told people. Because when he said separate rooms they said oh I'm sorry. He said he was never sorry. He was just tired of explaining that love does not have to mean sharing a blanket. They are still married 39 years later.

This afternoon at 3:50pm, TMFR Crews responded to multiple roadside fires at Midnight Ct and Highland Ranch PKWY. The approximately six starts on 7Th Avenue westbound toward US 395. Total estimated size up is about 4 acres. All fires are contained and crews are mopping up.

Last night, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a felony warrant suspect following a pursuit in Sun Valley.
Around 11:00 p.m., deputies located Joseph Wheatley at a residence near Yukon Drive. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the suspect fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle eventually stopped near South Fork Drive and Middle Fork Drive, where deputies, with assistance from a Drone as a First Responder (DFR), located the suspect, surrounded the vehicle, and gave commands to exit.
After initially stopping, the suspect attempted to flee again, striking both a patrol unit and a detective’s vehicle in a head-on collision. He was ultimately taken into custody without further incident.
Two deputies were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center, treated, and released. Wheatley was also treated before being booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility.
Wheatley was wanted on a felony warrant and now faces additional charges, including:
2 counts felony – Battery with Use of a Deadly Weapon
1 count felony – Driver Disobeying a Peace Officer
1 count misdemeanor – Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License
This incident highlights the coordinated efforts of patrol deputies, detectives, and regional partners working together to safely take a dangerous suspect into custody.
