This is what we call character development and a genuine connection they both shared.
If it was someone else other than Asta, he would have probably gone berserk but Asta moved on from it to achieve his ultimate goal.

Naruto struggled with being an orphan and his desire for family for like 700 episodes just for Boruto to make him a deadbeat dad the first couple episodes. Totally nothing wrong with that
