@Imperator117 @OrthodoxLurker I literally just laid out the premises that I used to come to my conclusion that He’ll exists. “Hell” in my opinion is just a place that people go to where they are punished for their moral evil. It must exist because there is no guaranteed punishment in this life.

@Imperator117 @OrthodoxLurker Yeah. I don’t believe that God is knowable to a large degree. Divine revelation doesn’t exist, which is the default position because it’s not obviously apparent that God has revealed himself. You’re starting from your presumptions when the burden of proof is on you.

@OrthodoxLurker Christians do this in conversation a lot actually. They tend to take their beliefs as a given so when I talk about something like hell or mortal sin, the interjection is usually something about God’s love and mercy, which I don’t believe in, and the conversation grinds to a halt.
