America is great! Cheerful not fearful! Conservative, individualist. Snarky but not mean. I'll give everyone a chance.

@japan_nobunaga You are wise to have perceived that.
In fact many people here wish we were one big country under one big government.
That is such a bad idea.

@InfectiousMasc1 建国の意図が「United States of America」という名前に表れているのですね。多様な州をまとめる力は、やはり国の根幹を成すものだと感じます。

I'm starting to think America isn't one country 🇺🇸
Every time I post, an American replies:
"well that's not true in MY state."
Taxes? Different. Laws? Different.
Roads, schools, even the SNACKS? Different.
Is it fair to say the US is basically
50 small countries wearing one big flag?
Quote tweet with your state — prove me right or wrong 🙋

@vbspurs Twas also not uncommon to open up the lunchbox in school to discover the inside glass part was broken. 😣
English

@vbspurs I've been thinking about this recently. Could the soccer playoffs, or whatever it is/was, be the spark, impetus of a re-evaluation of European and Asian attitudes towards the US?
Can this be hearlding some kind of opinion adjustment?
English

If we could marry American stadiums + Old World Supportership traditions, no one could beat us.
Washingtons ghost@washghost1
Can we make Europeans coming here a yearly thing? Like for a month out of the summer they just come here and go on adventures

@SpeakeGrant @Kristinartz It means the bolt is not otherwise occupied.
Next question
English

@Kristinartz Context is king, this is a meaningless question. What does a bolt laying in the driveway mean?
English

@SoveyX @DonaldJTrumpJr @JDVance I don't know how to make these but how about a mash up of this Vance meme and the classic M Rubio meme?
English

@vbspurs @FreddyLA7 @astros So many professional sports are teams from one side trying to maneuver something to the other team's side while the other team tries to hinder their maneuvering.
Not so baseball. It's unique. That's one reason I like it.
English

@FreddyLA7 @astros Freddy, you will love love baseball. There are four bases, and you have to go around them to score a point. There are three chances in the form of batters per team per "inning". There is a guy who throws the ball who is in charge of preventing them from scoring. Then they switch.

@MattBraynard @PolitiBunny "Role call"? You comment on politics and you call it "role call"?

Here’s an example of how jacked up the Republican Party is here in Virginia.
Democrats have proposed three new amendments for voters to consider in November. They include:
Abortion up to and including birth;
Gay marriage with deliberately confusing gender language;
Allowing felons to vote.
You would think Republicans would oppose enshrining these things into our state constitution, right?
Nope.
Yesterday, the Republican Party of Virginia State Central Committee voted 55-17 to oppose the amendments. Great. They voted to oppose … BUT 17 Republicans voted not to oppose them.
WTF?
And thus far, they refuse to name names.
This is why we lose.
This is why the @VA_GOP is lost.
Seventeen Republicans voted against opposing abortion up to and including birth? Unreal.
Maybe just switch parties.

@EricLDaugh The patience he shows when they are rudely interrupting him is the masterclass feature here. I expected his command of the facts, but his calm controlled demeanor is the best
English

🚨 JUST IN: In a masterclass, JD Vance OBLITERATES the left's Jeffrey Epstein lies against President Trump straight to The View's FACES
VANCE: Epstein HATED Donald Trump. Donald Trump literally reported Epstein to the POLICE.
NAVARRO: They were best friends!!
VANCE: He kicked Epstein out of his club when he found out he was a CREEP and reported him to the POLICE. That's something the media often MISSES when it reports the story! They say they knew each other in the 80s, but IGNORE the fact he told on him to the police, which ultimately let to Epstein's downfall.

@kaorukazama Please come visit again. This country is so huge, there is much more to see!
English

@machpodfann @LairdOfThManor Well yes, the examples are quite peaceful in and of themselves, are they not?
English

@LairdOfThManor These are excellent pacific examples of common mistakes. I learned.😍😍

A small public service announcement from the Department of Things That You Should Know…
It has not “peeked” your interest.
Nor has it “peaked” your interest.
…It has piqued your interest.
You are not “phased” by something.
You are fazed by it.
If you’ve had a long day, you are weary.
If you suspect someone is an idiot, you are wary.
It is “due course”, not “do course”.
“Per se”, not “per say”.
And while we’re here, it’s “could have”, not “could of”, but that particular battle may already be lost.
Thank you for your attention during this brief outbreak of grammatical housekeeping.
This has been a @LairdofthManor announcement.🎩💙
