Introducing your team to Bush - Machinehead before playing the @BuffaloSabres is definitely a choice. Might as well let us wear the goatheads on the road too.

@JeremyWGR This dude leveled up at the SkyDome from a burrito, to 6 pounds of wings, to a full pizza, to a full charcuterie board. Iconic.

@WGR550 @JeremyWGR couple years ago, bills game, we had shrimp boil tailgate. Buddy walked in with all the left overs into the game, with a clear bag Joe, and they let him in. Shrimp, potatoes, corn on cob, etc… passed around to all around us.

@inthethirddeck I think even if you set the number to 4, the difference in probabilities between each streak is negligible. Accounting for avg PA or AB would change the end probabilities as well, but likely with a similar negligible outcome.

@Infidelegate If you're hitting in the top half of the lineup, you're almost certainly getting 4 ABs, also it's worth noting that an on base streak would include walks, which don't count as an AB, but do count as a PA

@trevorplouffe and @ChrisRose I dug deeper into Trev's question from the other day's Baseball Today ep regarding which is "harder", Mantle's 56 game hitting streak or Williams' 84 game on base streak. First, I figured out the probability of an average MLB player recording either

to get approximate odds of 0.00000000000000791% and 0.00000000000000853% respectively. So, in conclusion, Dimaggio's streak was technically more difficult, but when you build it out that far, you're really splitting hairs and both should be considered borderline impossible.

game and a 68% chance a league average batter will get on base. Next to determine the probability of those events happening consecutively, we multiply those odds by themselves the number of games in each streak i.e. .56⁵⁶ and .68⁸⁴
