I like baseball, dodgers fan but usually pretty rational. I used to shout out a random good performance every day but then I got lazy.

Everyone is trying to fix this guy who is undernourished because he eats too little. Well the guy who eats the most in the world is severely obese and has major health issues.

Everyone is trying to fix this guy, and many think his low Launch Angle (2.8) is to blame…Is it really? Well, the MLB leader in Launch Angle is TB’s Cedric Mullins (32.7) — who also has MLB’s worst OPS (.436) among qualified players. ⚾️

Caminero was clearly confused. Jomboy pointed out that he was confused. Jomboy did not say anything about whether he was right to be confused, nor did they comment on Tolles emotion at all. Just commenting on Camineros reaction.

This is the lowest I’ve seen this company go. Tolle lost his mother two years ago. If you didn’t know that that’s fine, but at least specify in the comments or something so the people seeing your post get the full context.

@justinherbeer @TalkinBaseball_ Fair enough. Makes the splits look hilarious
English

@inthethirddeck @TalkinBaseball_ Was pitching thru a neck injury vs the Sox that’s why
English

@RSkarseth @TalkinBaseball_ Overall yes, but against the white sox alone it's gotta be like 10
English

@inthethirddeck @TalkinBaseball_ Even with the white sox. He has a sub 2 ERA
English

@inthethirddeck @MaxMannis Then they just throw to second and get a double play anyway.
English

Is there any point here where Ohtani could've just hit the deck and gotten the run to score in time?
Talkin' Baseball@TalkinBaseball_
MARLINS TAKE THE SERIES ON A DOUBLE PLAY!
English

@reportdogbot @MaxMannis First of all, if he establishes his path further out then he's not necessary out immediately, but also I'm not saying he should have turned and run to outfield, just moved a little bit up the line
English

@inthethirddeck @MaxMannis then youre out for leaving the basepaths and he can just go to first. balancing act
English

@kn3194 @Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers Guess we'll agree to disagree, I don't have the research skills to look up the actual numbers of how often Ohtani gets a hit versus Freddie hits a fly ball out
English

@kn3194 @Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers I think it's more likely Freeman hits a sac fly than Ohtani gets a base hit.
English

@inthethirddeck @Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers At the very least, it reduces the likelihood of him being intentionally walked, and it’s better to bet on Ohtani’s power than to rely on Freeman.
English

@kn3194 @Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers Okay so then the Marlins can still choose to walk Ohtani. Or at least pitch around him. Why not get the runner to third first and guarantee that you'll have a runner on third with less than 2 out?
English

@Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers You're also guaranteeing a runner on 3rd with less than two outs, which should be an easy score. If Freddie hits a fly ball then there's no conversation here. It's easy to question when it doesn't work but I think it was the right call
English

@inthethirddeck @Dodgers I'd take that alternative any day. Because it still lets your best hitter actually get the 2-out at-bat to possibly tie / win the game.
English

@Andrew_Bansal @Dodgers Because the alternative is letting Freeland try to hit and risking a double play and now it's runner on third two out instead of second and third one out.
English

@Dodgers WHY, WHY WHY would you bunt with Ohtani on deck?? Everyone knows he'd get intentionally walked with 1B open. Am I going crazy or does this make NO sense whatsoever? Say whatever you want, Dave Roberts is still an absolutely AWFUL in-game manager.
English

@MaxMannis I do not understand why teams keep on giving Don Mattingly managerial positions
