Just to speak on the whole Deme situation a bit more; In my opinion, I think it’s within some NSFW artists best interest to make sure that the vtuber (really anyone in this space for that matter) is comfortable and expressed their boundaries on having that type content made of them and to what extent. Because at the end of the day, you don’t fucking know these people. Even if some promote that content, they are still people who have certain boundaries and things they are uncomfortable with seeing with something that is tied to a part of their creative identity and brand. “But it’s the internet and people will make whatever regardless of what you say, just look at JaidenAnimations” Yeah, ok, sure. It’s out of their control. You still should be respectful of when these people explicitly say they are not ok with it. Just because people like Jaiden know there’s probably not much she can do about the art being draw of them, that doesn’t give you the right to tell them to suck it up and gaslight them into being ok with it. If this is your mindset, you are ok with the ability to impose your free will onto others and that they should have no issue with anything that you do that can potentially make them uncomfortable or hurt them. I was too busy in Japan to see what happened in twitter, what i meant by NSFW since a lot of people are confused- i’m okay with lewd never have not been okay with it. To add to this, I talked to my community about what people are saying. I was confused with some people calling me a hypocrite, I do advocate mental health for women and men. I'm super happy that deme made this boundary known to her audience and artists. What I'm not happy about, is seeing people immediately disrespect this boundary. You don't respect creators if you go against thier boundaries, no matter how much you support them.
