Today I’m pleased to appoint @GordonBrown as my Special Envoy on Global Finance and Cooperation. As Britain’s longest-serving Chancellor, Gordon is well placed to work with our international allies to build a stronger Britain and boost our country’s security and resilience.

Let’s be clear Labour vote UP 4% this year Reform vote DOWN 6% at least this year. Reform have LOST. Despite the media push to get them out to vote. 74% did not vote Reform This is hyperbolic nonsense - Labour did well considering the media onslaught @SkyNews @BBCNews

@Keir_Starmer You’ve had 18 months and done fuck all. The electorate despise Labour, the increased voting for Greens and Lib Dem should speak much louder than the right wing vote. You are failing. You are making our lives worse. Resign.

We must respond to the message that voters have sent us and break with the status quo once and for all. We must confront the big challenges the public face with real answers. That is how we will deliver the change that people are desperate for and build a stronger and fairer country. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

An estimated 74% of voters who bothered to turn out in the local elections yesterday did NOT vote for Reform. Let that sink in. And then adjust your hyperbole accordingly.

@Keir_Starmer Our lives aren’t changing, not for the better anyway. There will be calls for your resignation, again, but you have no backbone so will not concede.

These are tough results for Labour. There’s no sugarcoating it. We’ve lost brilliant Labour representatives who’ve stood up for their communities. People are still frustrated. Their lives aren’t changing fast enough. We haven’t offered enough hope or optimism for the future. I was elected to change this country - tough days like this don’t weaken my determination to do that. They strengthen it.

@Nigel_Farage I know a lot don’t like Farage but at least his statements are about promoting reform and he doesn’t spend the entire video slating other parties like Labour does. Labour’s political broadcasts are literally just slating other parties and nothing about promotion of values.

I'm a Liberal Democrat and I have just voted Labour, because in my area they are best placed to stop Reform. Find out which party is best placed to beat Reform where you are and vote for them before polls close at 10pm tonight.

The worst person you know is voting green today. Voting green is a massive “fuck you” to all the innocent British people who have been stabbed, beaten and raped by third world undocumented illegal men.

@lancelachlan Labour suffered a staggering loss in last years council elections, this year will be equally as bad if not worse for them. Certainly haven’t regrouped and rebuilt have they? They’ll do even worse next year. The public are done with Labour & Tories.

Even if Labour lost 1,200 council seats, they’d still have around 4,600 councillors across the country. People acting like Labour disappears overnight are living in fantasy politics. Parties lose local elections, regroup, rebuild and come back fighting stronger. Politics swings. That’s democracy.

@Ethan11126479 @GBPolitcs They will pick up quite a few. Assuming those who are left or right leaning stay to the left/right: Labour votes not wanting Labour or greens will go Lib Dem. Tory voters not wanting Tory or reform will go Lib Dem. Loyal Lib Dem voters remain the same.
