@maximilian_ @Schrodingersba4 How many times did @SEPH7ROTH argue this point.... only hope is now he can say. I was wrong. Or I was mislead. Soooo many wasted minutes of conversation explaining it was unlikely... or that OG- does lead to AC (in that timeline) but 7R is a reimagining ...

@zyeroph For sure I agree he's deffinetly different after Nibelheim. But to me he immediately adopts Jenova's Ambitions. Which is wayyyy to SUS for me to not think ... is this Sephiroth or Jenova?!?
But I always said, if they show in LS the J head and S merge I'd accept it.

@zyeroph To me First Soldier kind of established something very specific. That Jenova manipulated Sephiroth to see Lucretia over Alissa. And then Sephiroth lied to Angeal about it. And also that Masamune whispers Jenova's Will and to "listen carefully to the blade"

@zyeroph I'm not against the idea to be honest. But I think many already have the conclusion that Sephiroth is controlling Jenova when everything kind of points the other way.
I'd be interested if the pinpoint exactly where he assumed control would clear up and shoot my theories to dust

Two theories:
1) G type SOLDIERs are based on Gillian’s cells and she was shown to reproduce and have a child who naturally has Jenova cells (Angeal). Thus it’s proven possible that on the G type can replicate naturally with DNA

Canonically Accurate Take: It appears HOJO in Remake, is going against what the Ultimania says about G types SOLDIERS. Why would HOJO breed his most valuable possession Aerith with a faulty G program? hmm FFVII FANDOM: SOLDIERS G DEGRADE HAVE YOU EVEN PLAYED THE GAME.

Ya that argument was always bad. If Sephiroth knew he would lose he would have just killed Cloud in Nibelheim when he was laying on the ground in front of his moms place. Not actively taunt him to make him stronger... sequel/re-quel never made sense

Also a little conundrum... I thought Sephiroth in Remake is supposedly Sephiroth from AC(or has his knowledge from AC). Ppl saying the same is true for Aerith.. k So how would AC not be canon to FF7 Remake if this were true ? Logical consistency, this fandom's worst nightmare.

If Hamaguchi outright says "its more accurate to consider AC as cannon to OG FF7, not Remake"
How does Sequel theory work now?
Isnt the crux of the theory that this Trilogy is a sequel to AC? And that Sephiroth time traveled?
I'm open to ideas.

@JrneyAcrossWeb I feel like I'm talking about something tooootally different than that although ultimately, it wouldn't mean any contradiction between the two ideas.
Where we diverge though is that I feel it will be considerably more about Cloud than you do.

I didn't want to talk about it because it's coming up as a vid but the Revelation reveal shifted my mindset.
I now believe the only way to understand the story is assume the OG NEVER existed. It's not the past nor a reference point.
It's abstract, I hope I can make it concrete.

I think we got too attached to OG canonically existing within the Remake series, and that not leading to AC means Remake is a sequel rewriting the timeline. Perhaps Remake is literally just a remake of FF7 as a singular story, in which they’ll roll in extra lore as they see fit.

I made many videos talking about how "OG Truthers" were in denial of what is happening in front of their eyes and this was a new timeline.

Seriously, I'm trying to work on a "What we know so far?" video for Final Fantasy VII Revelation but that Hama-GOAT just won't stop talking!
