This has to be the most stupid thing Iain has ever wrote. How can Norway do this when Scotland can’t upgrade the A9? Because one is independent and the other lives with a restricted pile of crumbs known as the Barnett Consequentials. Honestly where do they get these people?

Glenn Campbell told Reporting Scotland viewers tonight that the SNP only reinstated a winter fuel payment because "Scottish Labour had been pushing them" and they were only able to afford it because "the UK Labour Treasury (sic)" gave them more money than they expected. This goes beyond spin. It's so misleading as to be inappropriate.

This is the headline takeaway from The Sunday Show's TV segment. It's indicative of a programme shorn of depth and intellect. Martin Geissler either doesn't have the intellectual capacity to explore serious issues or he's too lazy to bother to research them. Today's show should have covered the issue all Scots have been discussing this week - plummeting temperatures and rising energy prices. It should also have analysed Sarwar's panic winter fuel payment pledge. It did neither. Instead it chose to caricature the ferries again. The third segment of the show, an English chap boasting about his business acumen, was bizarre. The Sunday Show TV segment is a waste of thirty minutes of live TV. It's a fraud. Whatever they're paying Martin Geissler to produce the kind of tabloid trash he produced today, is a waste of public cash.
