We couldn't agree more. What does the term actually mean? Are they simply exercising their right to make their own decision? Are they not wanting to do something in the way we want & when we want? Have we not listened them? Surely we should be exploring why they "non-compliant".

What examples have you seen that caused a patient to be described as "non-compliant"? The definition is ambiguous and welcomes abuse. It's often a sign of unwillingness in providing holistic care. There should be clear criteria for using this term, with a guide on how to manage.
